FKA Twigs Wants To Have Traditional Family With Robert Pattinson
FKA Twigs recently talked about her yearning to adhere to a “certain format” when it comes to having a family. The songstress, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, remains a traditional girl despite being thrust into the spotlight because of her high-profile relationship with Robert Pattinson.
The 27-year-old musician discussed her dreams to Paper magazine when she graced the cover of its October issue.
“I’m quite traditional. You know that saying, ‘You can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl’? I grew up in Gloucestershire, and there’s a certain format that people fit into. And I’m actually quite happy with that format. I’m quite happy to say, ‘Go to school, work hard on your GCSEs, do your A-Levels, get married, have children. Send your kids to a nice school. Make sure you’re in the right catchment area.'”
The British actor once told German magazine Jolie that he’s “definitely” interested to become a father although he’s not sure when. Even if FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson’s wedding has been pushed to a later date, an Us Weekly insider claims that the two are closer than ever. The source claims that that Tahliah remains “enormously happy” with Robert and isn’t rushing to tie the knot.
When she has commitments to her music career, Tahliah reportedly makes it a point to constantly text and talk to her fiancé. As per a Hollywood Life source, Robert and Tahliah’s wedding was postponed because the “Two Weeks” singer wants everything to be amazing.
“Things are going very well and they are both very happy with each other. Don’t take this news as a bad thing – they just want to get it right because they only want to do it once. FKA wants it to be perfect and she keeps going back and forth on ideas. She definitely wants it to be amazing, so she keeps thinking of things to add to the festivities!”
Instead of having a low-key summer ceremony in London, the couple is thinking of an autumn nuptials. The couple’s supporters are happy that even if some continuously bash Robert and FKA’s romance, nothing can ruin the “Pendulum” singer’s positive disposition.
She once talked to the New York Times about the ugly side of being in a relationship with Robert.
“It’s really hard — I can’t begin to explain how awful it is. It makes you want to just stop everything sometimes. It makes you want to smash your face into the mirror.”
Even if she is on the receiving end of racial slurs, FKA said that the difficulty’s “worth it.”
“It’s relentless. There’s no amount of songs I can sing or dances I can dance that will prove to them I’m not a monkey. I didn’t see my life going this way at all. But it’s worth it. I’m so happy.”
Even the Water for Elephants actor is aware of his fiancée’s situation, but instead of being enraged, he prefers to take the high road because for him, people who leave nasty comments are not normal people, but “demons who live in basements.” For Rob, it is useless to fight a “faceless blob” because “the more you hate it, the bigger it gets.”
Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart is rumoured to have just ended her romance with Alicia Cargile. The two allegedly broke up in an amicable manner although Kristen’s schedule might have contributed to the split. The Twilight actress didn’t confirm her romance with the visual effects producer but last January, the two were photographed kissing on a beach in Hawaii.
