‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6 First Look: The Girls Are All Grown Up

Pretty Little Liars fans have been taken on rollercoaster ride over the last six seasons. The journey is not over yet, and fans have received another look at the drama ahead on the second half of Pretty Little Liars Season 6.

This ABC Family series was one of the many shows featured at New York Comic Con this week. During the event, fans saw some new footage from the series and they also learned the premiere date for Pretty Little Liars Season 6B.

Spoiler TV shared the full details about the return of the series on Friday. The news outlet also shared a sneak peek for the mid-season premiere that contains the first four minutes of the episode.

At the end of the first half of Pretty Little Liars Season 6, the girls from Rosewood learned who had been turning their lives into chaos for the last five years. Charlotte, formerly Charles, had turned their lives upside down.

The second half of Season 6 picks up five years later. The girls have all left Rosewood and “A” behind. All of the girls – except for one, that is. The clip from the Pretty Little Liars Season 6B premiere shows Alison still in Rosewood. She is a high school teacher, and she is teaching a class at the start of the clip.

After class ends, she has a visitor that tells her about the court hearing for Charlotte. The others will learn of the court hearing by notification, and they will not have not long to decide if they are coming or not.

Alison includes a letter of her own with the court notification, but the others do not look happy at all to hear from their “friend” when they receive it.

The clip does reveal a lot about the status of the girl’s lives when the action picks up though, so it is a very good idea to watch this clip close.

The second half of Pretty Little Liars Season 6 will consist of 10 episodes, and a source on Twitter shared an image containing all the episode titles and pertinent information for each episode.

When fans learned about the five-year time jump for the second half of the season, Marlene King teased a bit about the time jump and how it will impact the rest of Season 6 and Season 7 of the hit series.

“The girls have been living an A free life for 5 years and, um, Alison begs them to come back to Rosewood. And that’s sort of where the remainder of 6th season and 7th season will take place. This sort of…seeing how their lives have developed over these 5 years, they have new relationships and, of course, you know, the big whirlwind of A continues. And that’s why they come back to Rosewood.”

This series will return to the small screen in January, and that will be a big month for ABC Family. The network announced earlier this week that they will rebrand and change the name of the network to Freeform in January 2016.

Pretty Little Liars has been a solid hit for the network over the last six seasons. The series is already set for Season 7, and a Season 8 is not out of the question, according to a previous Inquisitr report.

There is big drama ahead on this series. What do you think about the five-year time jump? Do you think it’s time for the girls to grow up and have more adult lives to complicate things?

Pretty Little Liars will return to television on January 12.
