There’s something about NXT Takeover that consistently brings the buzz wrestling fans yearn for. While WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown are the primary shows for their programming, NXT is the hottest show that the WWE has to offer. That’s not only a fact inside the WWE, but outside talents are making their way to the hottest show in professional wrestling and sports entertainment.
Earlier last month, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa made their debut in WWE NXT. They entered the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and made it all the way to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, Rhyno and Baron Corbin eliminated them, but the fans at Full Sail University were praising Ciampa and Gargano for their appearances.
Not only that, but TNA stars are starting to come over to the other brand. Samoa Joe was the first one to transition. He’s already made a huge impact on WWE NXT. Joe teamed up with Finn Balor to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic. They defeated Rhyno and Corbin to earn the trophy from Cody Rhodes and Goldust.
A new wrestling star debuted at WWE NXT’s tapings last night. James Storm, a former TNA champion, made his first appearance in the WWE. He tweeted about it after the round of tapings ended.

Before WWE NXT was popular, TNA stars didn’t want to make the jump. Now, Storm made him the second former TNA star to jump to the other promotion. They are creating stars who will help form the future of the WWE. At NXT Takeover Respect, two new WWE stars were born. Their names are Jason Jordan and Chad Gable.
Their tag match with Rhyno and Baron Corbin let the WWE Universe know that Gable and Jordan are forces in the tag team division. Not only that, but they have innate charisma and an ability to connect with the fans. This won’t be the only time Gable and Jordan will contend for the Tag Team championships. According to Cageside Seats and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jason Jordan and Gable will become a focal point of WWE NXT.
NXT officials aren’t the only ones high on these two. Mick Foley, WWE Hall of Fame wrestler, commented on Facebook that Gable is a huge star waiting to happen.
“I agree with this article – Chad Gable is the real deal! We all knew he could wrestle. But, just as importantly, this Olympic athlete has quietly become one of the most entertaining performers on the #NXT roster. Check out this amazing move from #NXTTakeover and let me know what you see in the future for Chad.”
Chad Gable is a future star in the making, and perhaps he can fill the void that Kurt Angle had when he departed for Impact Wrestling. The charisma is there and so is the wrestling. Gable is a former Olympian, and that is what makes Jason Jordan the perfect partner for Gable. Jordan is a former NCAA wrestler. He was an accomplished amateur wrestler at Indiana University.
Their wrestling style as a tag team is different, which works at WWE NXT. They specialize in being different from the main roster. Also, a lot of stars at WWE NXT don’t want to leave and go to the main roster. Sasha Banks at NXT Takeover Respect was crying after her match with Bayley. Emotions were running high following the Iron Man match.
However, that was Banks’ swan song at WWE NXT. She knew that it was her last match and is probably excited to stay on the main roster permanently. WWE NXT is where she began her ascension to the top of the WWE and it launched her career. Jordan and Gable will be next.
