Lady Gaga’s ‘AHS: Hotel’ Premier Appearance Is Gruesome And Borderline Pornographic [Spoilers]
Lady Gaga’s American Horror Story: Hotel appearance on Wednesday’s premiere turned out to be gruesome, bizarre, and borderline pornograpic. Exactly what you would expect and hope for since it was announced she would join the cast of AHS.
According to The Daily Beast, Gaga’s AHS character, the Countess, is a trendsetting sex fiend, and the bloodthirsty owner of Hotel Cortez. Ryan Murphy, the show’s creator, couldn’t have picked anyone more perfect than Lady Gaga to play this part.

First appearing about halfway through the season premiere of AHS, Gaga and her onscreen lover, played by Matt Bomer do a few lines of coke and head out to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. After finding an unsuspecting anonymous couple to play with, they lure their soon-to-be unfortunate victims back to the Cortez and into bed with them.
What follows is a scantily clad Gaga, Bomer’s backside and lots of naked intertwining of bodies pushing the limits of cable television censorship. However, the medley of tangled and nude body parts turns to gore quickly as Gaga and Bomer slit the throats of their partners and begin gulping the blood from their bleeding, spurting necks.
The scene ends with the nude couple bloodstained and seemingly satisfied. Smoking a post-gratification cigarette, Bomer quips, “It’s not the getting ready, it’s the cleanup.”
In a recent interview, Lady Gaga explained why she wanted to play The Countess.
“I don’t just simply do things because they are provocative or because they are shocking. I’m doing it because the story that [Ryan Murphy] is telling about addiction, the story that he’s telling about our own narcissism, the story that he’s telling bout how the human being strives to survive within the challenges of the universe — that to me is what makes the sex so good.”

Although not a vampire in real life, Lady Gaga does have a fascination with all things scary, in addition to an addiction to TV crime shows. On the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the pop star-turned-actress opened up about her captivation with horror.
“I love scary things. Dangerous things in horror relaxes me, it freaks out my friends and my fiancé.”
She went on to say how she loves the show Snapped and how average women unexpectedly snap and murder their husbands.
“I find the art of darkness fascinating, I think I would have been one of Hitchcock’s groupies. I love the dichotomy of horror at the same time. There’s something really fascinating in watching these shows and seeing how these serial killers operate.”
In a recent article from The Nation, Gaga admitted her fiancé, Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney, doesn’t share her love of horror and crime shows. In fact, according to her, he finds it quite “disturbing” and “freaks” him out.
Although it is still early to predict how long-lasting Lady Gaga’s AHS role will be, Murphy has big things in mind for The Countess. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lady Gaga’s American Horror Story character may be returning after this season.
Although just getting started in this season of American Horror Story, Gaga may have hinted that she has, indeed, accepted the invitation to come back. “I worked really hard on it, I completely committed to the role and really take it seriously,” she said in a statement.
In typical American Horror Story style, the Hotel is full of twists and turns, evil characters, and outwardly random killings, along with a consistent self-questioning of just what is really going on. Ultimately, this is part of AHS’s intrigue as the story unfolds and the pieces come together.
If Wednesday’s premiere is any indication of what is to come, Murphy may have just outdone himself with this season of American Horror Story. Lady Gaga’s brutal and gruesome, yet somehow beautiful and borderline pornographic scene is a television first and most likely the wildest fans have seen so far.
