MTV Star Leah Messer Discusses Coming Through A ‘Storm’ On Facebook Ahead Of ‘Teen Mom 2’ Season 6 Reunion
MTV star Leah Messer shared a telling meme on Facebook on October 6. Ahead of tonight’s Teen Mom 2 Season 6 reunion, the MTV star spoke of getting through a storm.
“When you come out of the storm you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
MTV star Leah Messer has been facing all sorts of allegations for the last year both in the press and online.
It all started in October of last year, when the MTV star’s then-husband, Jeremy Calvert, took to Twitter, where he proclaimed he had “caught” Messer cheating on him with her ex-boyfriend, Robbie Kidd. As fans of Teen Mom 2 will recall, Messer admitted to sleeping with Kidd just before walking down the aisle with Corey Simms, her first husband, in 2010. The incident led to Messer’s 2011 divorce, and plenty of backlash for the MTV star. Although Calvert later deleted the tweets and Messer told fans that her affair with Kidd was nothing more than a rumor, Kidd claimed otherwise, telling In Touch Weekly (via the Ashley’s Reality Roundup) that he and the MTV star had been talking in secret for weeks before sleeping together at his West Virginia home.
“Whenever things are going bad in our lives, we reach out to each other, and this is what happens,” the MTV star’s ex-boyfriend, Kidd, told the magazine. “Leah felt really alone because Jeremy’s gone a lot for work. She said Jeremy doesn’t care about her or their family when he’s gone. All he wants to do is talk about sex.”
Also in his interview with In Touch Weekly, Kidd claimed he and the MTV star slept together just one time and said he had absolutely no interest in striking up a romance with Messer. Instead, he pursued another relationship and wed just weeks later.

Despite Calvert’s allegations against the MTV star and Kidd’s claims, he and Messer continued to attempt to mend their relationship for months until they split earlier this year.
Around the same time, Messer was in the midst of filming Teen Mom 2 Season 6 and continuing to face accusations of drug use by both her first husband, Corey Simms, and her second husband, Jeremy Calvert. In a conversation seen on the show, which the MTV star later alleged was “scripted” and “set up,” Calvert proclaimed Messer was dealing with a “prescription pill problem,” and Simms, during a previous episode, accused the MTV star of hiding her “drug problem.”

In an interview with the Examiner earlier this week, Adam Lind, the ex-boyfriend of Chelsea Houska, claimed the MTV star was dealing with a drug problem, after all. However, it is unclear whether he actually has knowledge of the issue, or he simply heard the ongoing speculation on the show and online and assumed it was true.
“I think Leah is just trying to handle the stress and everything and it becomes too much sometimes. Everyone makes mistakes and social media just bashes the hell out of everyone all the time, no matter who you are and she’s just trying to get help for her drug problem, which is a really big step for anyone to do on their own.”
MTV star Leah Messer has yet to comment on Lind’s recent interview.
