Nicki Minaj Calls Drake And Meek Mill’s Feud ‘Ridiculous,’ Says They’re ‘Grown A** Men’

Nicki Minaj may have chosen to stay out of the headline-making feud that occurred between boyfriend Meek Mill and label mate Drake earlier this summer, but that doesn’t mean the duo’s feud didn’t have an impact on Minaj’s feelings.

While Nicki Minaj previously explained to GQ that she didn’t necessarily agree with Meek Mill’s decision to call out Drake for allegedly using a ghostwriter on one of his tracks, Minaj is now revealing her reasons for wanting to stay out of Drake and Mill’s heated feud in a new interview.

In case you missed it, Meek Mill made headlines earlier this year after he took to Twitter to diss Nicki Minaj’s labelmate by implying that Drake had used a ghostwriter on one of their collaborative tracks.

Rather than engage in an all-out social media war with Meek, Drake opted to blast Minaj’s beau in the studio with two chart-topping diss tracks, “Charged Up” and “Back To Back.”

Although Meek Mill eventually responded to Drake’s scathing tracks, which included lyrics like, “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?,” social media ultimately ruled Drake the clear winner in the duo’s ongoing feud.

Despite the peak of Meek Mill and Drake’s feud having occurred months ago, there’s still a lot of buzz surrounding the duo’s intense quarrel, especially since the majority of fans continue to stand by the rumors that suggest Meek and Drake’s feud was really all about their relationship with Nicki Minaj.

While Drake and Nicki Minaj made headlines for their rumored romance in the past, neither Drake nor Nicki has ever confirmed their highly speculated relationship.

Now, in a new interview with The New York Times, Minaj is speaking out about her true feelings regarding Drake and Meek Mill’s diss-filled feud, explaining that while she still stands by her decision to stay out of the duo’s fight, it was still painful to have to choose between “people you love.”

“They’re men, grown-a* men,” Minaj explains when asked about her feelings on Drake and Meek’s fight.

“It’s between them. I hate it. It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love.”

Nicki goes on to call Drake and Meek’s spat “ridiculous,” before admitting that she wishes the whole thing would finally come to an end.

Much to the dismay of Minaj, Drake and Meek’s feud appears to be far from over.

After Meek Mill announced his decision to bow out of his ongoing feud with Drake in August, Drake continued to take some not-so-subtle jabs at Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend in several of his newly released songs.

Drake made headlines last month after he released his collaborative mixtape with Future, titled What A Time To Be Alive, further fueling rumors that suggest his beef with Meek Mill has yet to be resolved.

In fact, Billboard pointed out a total of five tracks off of WATTBA that seem to be taking aim at Meek Mill, including the likes of “Digital Dash,” “Change Locations,” and “30 for 30 Freestyle.”

While Drake didn’t shy away from an opportunity to blast Minaj’s beau on his new mixtape, some fans believe that Drake was also throwing shade at Minaj’s lack of involvement in his beef with Meek Mill on the track, “Diamonds Dancing.”

In the track, Drake raps about a girl “doing [him] dirty” for refusing to speak to him after getting into a relationship with a new man.

While some interpreted the track to be a major dig at his alleged falling out with Minaj, a source close to both Drake and Minaj instantly shut down the rumors, Urban Islandz reports.

The source explains that not only was “Diamonds Dancing” recorded before Drake and Meek’s beef escalated, but that Drake “has a lot of respect for Nicki” and wouldn’t go so far as to “attack her in a song because he has her number and would give her a call [rather] than air something out on a record.”
