‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Premiere Spoilers Tease The Battles To Come

The Vampire Diaries is finally ready to return to The CW. Season seven of the series will premiere on Thursday night, and fans expect some major changes with the exit of Elena Gilbert, played by Nina Dobrev, from the series.

This series lost its main female star, but it still has plenty of life left in it. The focus of the series will turn completely to the Salvatore brothers, and the series will take Damon back to basics. He will become the man he was at the start of the series.

Ian Somerhalder confirmed this during a Facebook Q&A earlier this week, according to MTV. However, the actor did not reveal when fans would see the truly dark and evil side of Damon reappear. He was asked twice about that, and he played coy with his answer both times.

Somerhalder also teased that fans might see someone else embrace their dark side this season as well. He did not reveal who, but MTV teased that it could be Stefan, played by Paul Wesley. He goes into ripper mode so well. It is always a treat to see the bad side of Stefan come out for a bit.

The two brothers will have a lot to handle this season. Ian teased that the brothers might not always see eye to eye, but they “will have each other’s backs.”

Their mother’s new family will cause a lot of trouble in Mystic Falls. Previous Vampire Diaries spoilers shared by the Inquisitr revealed that her vampire family will take over the town, and they will cause problems for Caroline.

In fact, TV Line revealed that the second episode back would feature Caroline, played by Candice Accola, being kidnapped by Lily and the other vampires. Caroline will also learn a new shocking secret about Stefan.

Before fans can see the October 15 episode, the premiere has to air on Thursday. Spoiler TV shared a new sneak peek for the episode on Tuesday.

The sneak peek shows Stefan and Caroline sharing a moment that quickly turns awkward. He told her how he felt, and he plans to wait for her. However, the two still share a bond of friendship. By the end of the clip, Stefan tells her that they will be friends while she heals.

At the start of the clip, Caroline is writing something, and that could be a diary. Entertainment Weekly shared a small teaser about the role diaries will play during The Vampire Diaries Season 7.

“A number of different characters will be jotting down the latest happenings in Mystic Falls so Elena can catch up once she wakes. Though, there’s a moment in the premiere that I’m sure Damon won’t include in his diary: He’s faced with an opportunity that could bring Elena back sooner rather than later and has a very interesting reaction to it.”

This season of The Vampire Diaries is promising big changes for fans. With Elena gone, Damon has no reason to be nice. Elena’s departure also frees Stefan, as well. The series continued the love triangle between the three until last season. Now, there is no reason to do that at all.

However, the exit of Elena Gilbert could cause the series to slide, as well. Fans will need to tune in and watch the season premiere to see how the exit of Elena impacts the series.

The Vampire Diaries will air on Thursday nights on The CW.
