Yolanda Foster Chops Off Her Hair Amid Lyme Disease Battle, ‘RHOBH’ Season 6 Filming

Yolanda Foster recently debuted a new look. According to an October 5 report by AllAboutTRH, the Real Housewives of Orange County star has chopped off her hair amid filming on the sixth season of the Bravo reality show.

“Done with the old, embracing the new…………… #1964Original #WorkingMyWayBack @mrchrismcmillan,” Yolanda Foster captioned the above photo, which she shared on her Instagram page.

Yolanda Foster’s hair was in the best of hands, as her hairstylist, Chris McMillan, is known for working with A-list celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston.

Yolanda Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease in late 2012, one year after marrying music producer David Foster. In the years since, Yolanda Foster has been vocal about her struggles, continuously chronicling her health battle on social media, and revealing details of her illness on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While Yolanda Foster appeared to be dealing with her symptoms well for the first couple of years, she later suffered a relapse in late 2014, and struggled to film the fifth season reunion for the Bravo reality series.

In the last year, Yolanda Foster has traveled to a number of countries, including Mexico, in hopes of finding a solution, or a better way to treat her illness, and throughout her travels, she’s spoken openly with fans about the different treatments she’s tried.

Then, over the summer, Yolanda Foster seemed to catch a break when doctors discovered a leaky implant, which they suspected may have been making her Lyme disease symptoms worse. Right away, as Yolanda Foster was in Cleveland, doctors chose to remove the leaky implant, and since then, Yolanda Foster has been focused on living a toxic-free life.

Weeks ago, Yolanda Foster’s husband, David, spoke to Daily Mail, claiming Yolanda Foster is determined to find a cure for Lyme disease, and help others around the globe fight back against the illness.

“It is a mission to get herself well right now and she also gets thousands and thousands of emails from people who have auto-immune disease, which sadly she can’t possibly answer. But Yolanda feels that it’s part of her job to get to the bottom of this. She believes that if she cracks the code it will help a lot of other people with the disease… I’ve told her more than once, I’ve said, ‘You know, honey, you should really try and get better yourself first,’ and she said, ‘Yeah, but if I crack the code then a lot of people are going to get better,’ so she’s really dedicated to finding something that will really help her and in turn help others. So that’s just the way she rolls and that’s just her.”

Yolanda Foster’s husband, David, has been supportive throughout her Lyme disease battle, and often travels with her when she undergoes new treatments. Last year, while filming Asia’s Got Talent, David brought Yolanda Foster to his location, where she underwent treatments not yet approved for use in the United States.

Although Yolanda Foster’s role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was expected to be cut, she has since been spotted filming with her co-stars for Season 6. However, at this point, it is unclear whether she’ll appear on the show in a full-time role, or if she’ll appear as a guest star or friend of the wives.

For more Yolanda Foster, be sure to tune into the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is expected to premiere on Bravo later this year.
