Keuchel’s ERA at home was a minuscule 1.46 — but on the road he put up a still solid but unspectacular 3.77. But there’s still another catch.
In his one start against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium, site of Tuesday’s AL Wild Card Game, Keuchel turned in a stellar effort, allowing just three hits and no runs in seven innings on August 25 — striking out nine and walking no one as the Astros pasted the Yankees with a 15-1 victory.

The AL Wild Card Game will not only mark Houston’s first playoff appearance since 2005 — when they lost the World Series to the Chicago White Sox — but the Astros’ first as an American League team.
The Yankees missed the playoffs in each of the past two seasons after qualifying for postseasoon play in every year from 1995 to 2012, except for 2008.
