The ‘Pizza Rat’ Gets Its Own Sexy Halloween Costume

Now there’s a sexy pizza rat costume, in case you didn’t know what to dress up as. There’s no shortage of options when it comes to sexy costumes around Halloween. But the most popular and most shocking one is probably a naughty twist on the adorable internet sensation.

The sexy pizza rat costume was introduced by Yandy costumes. For a total of $89.95, you can dress up like the popular rat that stole New Yorkers’ hearts when he walked down a flight of stairs while holding a slice of pizza. The lingerie company knew that they wanted to cash in on the success of the pizza rat, according to Sarah Chamberlain.

“We saw that everyone was going nuts over the Pizza Rat. So we decided to make a cute, sexy pizza mouse costume.”

How were they able to release a sexy pizza rat costume so quickly? Well, according to Chamberlain, Yandy works with California-based designers so that they’re able to design buzzworthy costumes in a snap. But you have to ask fast. Chamberlain says that they only have 100 pizza rat costumes in stock. If more women are interested in dressing up as the sexy version of the character, then they may produce more for Halloween.

“If the excitement continues, we can have them make more,” she added.

The Yandy.com website describes the sexy pizza rat costume as a “limited edition Yandy Pizza Rat costume [featuring] a soft, body-hugging grey mini dress with a white front panel, an attached mouse tail, an attached hood with adorable mouse ears, and two attached pepperoni pizza slice accents.”

Yandy is no stranger to creating anything that’s buzzworthy on the internet into a sexy costume. Chad Horstman and his brother, Evan, launched the online lingerie boutique back in 2005. They both knew that Halloween is a big business, which is why they wanted to cash in on the $1.15 billion costume market.

The store has more than just sexy lingerie and dresses. They also have over 4,000 costumes such as sexy corn on the cob and sexy hamburger. Yandy also generates 30 percent of their sales from the now sexy holiday season.

The company’s first best-selling costume was the sexy Tootsie Roll costume, which launched in 2010. Yandy carried on with the theme by introducing the sexy watermelon costume, sexy French fries, and of course, sexy pizza. So, a sexy pizza rat costume is not something that’s outside of the realm for them.

“We just went crazy with food costumes,” Chad added.

Pizza rat had his brief 15 minutes of fame two weeks ago when he was seen in the subways of New York. He also became a brief YouTube star when an onlooker saw him carrying a large slice of New York pizza down the stairs. Unfortunately, he dropped the slice once he hopped onto the last flight and disappeared under the staircase.

The sexy pizza rat costume is just one of the latest costumes that are guaranteed to be popular this Halloween. Women (and men) are also likely to buy the sexy Donald Trump costume and the sexy version of “The Dress,” which set the internet abuzz earlier this year. It’s the company’s take on the dress debate, which is half black and blue and half white and gold. There are also your controversial costumes like Cecil the Lion and the Caitlyn Jenner costume that have been launched, even with all the backlash and online petitions that started online.
