Spray Tan Contouring: Fake A Toned Butt, Hide Cellulite With A Self-Tanner Contour

Make-up contouring became all the rage ever since Kim Kardashian began showing the world how her make-up artist effectively sculpted her face with cosmetics. The thought process was that creating darker shades in areas like the hollows of the cheeks and lighter shades such as the temples made her face appear more contoured than it actually was in real life. Since make-up contouring is still popular and only barely fading as it gives way to other styles, spray tan contouring is still heating up.

As reported by Yahoo, a good spray tan contouring session can both hide cellulite and make a butt appear lifted, without needing to do 1,000 squats to achieve such a look. On Instagram, spray tan contouring experts like “Sophie St. Tropez” show off her “Shower and Glow” in shower gradual tanner.

On sites like Cosmopolitan, instructions on how to use self-tanner to fake slimmer legs abound.

Also, the “contour tanning” hashtag on Instagram shows real-life pics and provides tips on the whole process of using self-tanners in order to make your abs, legs and biceps appear more toned than they really are in real life. Most of those instructions include applying a base coat of self-tanner to the entire body. Next, some of the tips say to choose a darker self-tanner to then rub into the natural shadowy or dark spots formed when you make a muscle, or flex your calves, for example.

The contour tanning really makes a difference when seen in certain before and after photos spotted on Instagram.

On YouTube, there are also a plethora of videos to be found when searching the video-sharing site for spray tan contouring.

All in all, spray tans can be an easy way to enhance muscles that are already there, but might need a little help in coaxing more to the surface with a spray tan contour. For those who have already worked hard to burn off the layers of fat covering their honed muscles, a spray tan contour can give them the competitive edge in fitness competitions and the like, to help the judges and audience better see the fit form that’s already there.

The “contour tanning” can give legs great definition, as reported by Essence, and can be a great asset to have anytime you feel the need to have a little help in that area — be it on a special date night donning short shorts, or on a trip to the beach.

Cosmopolitan calls contour tanning the new way to have flawless skin all over your body — and not just your face. The publication offers a unique DIY “S” curve type of motion for the upper arm that shows how folks can place a swoop of spray-tanner down their upper arm to create the look of more toned biceps and deltoids.

Instead of thinking of spray-tan contouring as cheating, those who get the special spray tans instead view it as a way to enhance the feature they already have. Similar to contouring the face to make it appear a little slimmer or more highlighted in certain areas, body spray-tan contouring can be just the boost needed to feel even more comfortable in your own skin.
