Drake Shows Off Toned Body On Instagram, Collaborates With Beyoncé For New Track ‘Can I’

Drake may be busy climbing the music charts with the success of his collaborative mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive, alongside rapper Future, but that doesn’t mean Drake is skipping out on his time at the gym.

Just weeks after the rapper sent fans into frenzy with an Instagram photo showing off his incredibly toned arms, the rapper is now making headlines for a new Instagram pic that highlights his buff arms, chest, and abs.

In a photo posted to his Instagram account, @champagnepapi, on October 4, Drake strikes a pose in front of a mirror while flexing his arm and ab muscles to show off his workout progress.

“Live on TNT I’m flexin ooooooh,” Drake captioned the eye-catching pic, referencing his collaborative track with Future, “Jumpman,” in the caption.

Fans instantly took to the comments section of Drake’s pic to gush over the rapper’s toned physique, with most commenting on how Drake has been more dedicated to working out since igniting romance rumors with tennis champion, Serena Williams.

In September, TMZ shared photos of Drake’s weight lifting progress before alleging that Drizzy may be committed to bulking up in order to impress Serena.

Regardless of the motivation behind Drake’s decision to get buff, the “Energy” rapper’s chiseled Instagram photo comes just one day after Drake treated fans to a surprise release of his collaborative track, “Can I,” alongside Beyoncé.

Fans previously got a first-listen into the duo’s collaborative track back in May after an unfinished, leaked version of “Can I” appeared online. While neither Beyoncé nor Drake commented on the supposed collaboration, Drake shocked fans on Saturday when he abruptly released the sultry jam on his OVO Sound radio show via Apple Music’s Beats 1, Rolling Stone reports.

In the seductive hit, Beyoncé can be heard asking, “Can I baby?” while Drake raps lines like, “Can I tell you what I think my biggest flaw is, baby? / I try to be consistent, but I can’t / Can I have an honest moment with you right now, baby?”

While Drake has yet to comment on whether or not “Can I” will appear on his highly anticipated LP, Views From The 6, Drake previously collaborated with Beyoncé on her self-titled album for her 2013 track, “Mine.”

“Can I” appears on the first episode of OVO Sound following the expiration of Apple Music’s free three-month trial promotion. While it’s clear that Drake’s success as an artist is a selling point for Apple’s new streaming service, it’s interesting to note that Drake chose to release the track through his own radio show on Apple despite Beyoncé serving as a lead artist for Jay Z’s own music service, Tidal.

While Drake continues to surprise fans with a plethora of new music releases, some are still waiting for the arrival of Drizzy’s Views From The 6 album.

In his extensive interview with The Fader, Drake promises that Views will arrive “imminently,” however, neglected to specify an approximate release date for the project.

For the venture, Drake reveals that he teamed up with longtime friend and producer Noah “40” Shebib, explaining that they’ve both “grown a lot” over the past few years.

“He used to be the guy that would track me in hotel rooms at 4 a.m. And now he is not that guy, I have another guy that does that. If I want to make the album I want to make, I have to go find him,” Drake explains, “I have to go sit with him, and we have to really put in effort.”

While Drake may be putting a lot of effort into Views From The 6, there’s no doubt that the Canadian rapper is also putting a lot of effort into his physique as well.
