‘Twilight’ Star Robert Pattinson Talks Internet ‘Demons’ While Wendy Williams Takes His Side In Kristen Stewart Split

Although Robert Pattinson has enjoyed an enormous amount of success due to his days with the Twilight franchise, which also gifted him with a huge and dedicated fan base, the actor has since made it a point to take on roles outside of mainstream Hollywood. With Pattinson gearing up for his roles in upcoming films like Life and The Lost City of Z, he recently took the time to sit down with NME and discussed some of the bad parts of fame, including trolling on the internet.

With the majority of his life being highly scrutinized and reported on by the media, Pattinson related how living in L.A. only made it worse for the teen heartthrob. “I had people sitting outside my house every single day, and it drove me crazy. I didn’t go into a supermarket for about six years.”

However, since moving to back to London Pattinson stated that things have been less crazy when it comes to paparazzi following his every move. That being said, he still finds plenty of fans online who can’t seem to get enough of him.

In fact, the one aspect of Robert Pattinson’s life that has been hitting the news lately surrounds his relationship with fiancée FKA Twigs. While the typical rumors have cropped up concerning their high profile relationship, some have been more racial in tone, which is something Pattinson felt the need to address in the interview.

“I was talking to my dad about this and I bet him that if he looked up Nelson Mandela’s funeral on YouTube, the first comment would be a racist one,” Pattinson stated. “And it was, with like a million up votes. What I don’t get is why. I think it’s because most normal people are not commenters – I’ve never met anyone who’s left a comment on anything. It’s just demons who live in basements.”

At the same time, Pattinson admitted that he goes through periods where he searches his own name on the internet just to read what everyone is saying. Even though he tries his best to avoid this habit, Pattinson stated there are times when he just can’t help it.

“I go through periods where I don’t do it at all and feel glorious! Then I’ll fall back into this pit,” he explained about googling himself. “It really does affect you, and it all comes from some moron sitting on a comment board. It’s always that person who’s needling away at you, who you either want to destroy, or convince them to love you.”

Meanwhile, with Pattinson set to marry Twigs at any time in the coming months, his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart recently discussed just how heartbreaking it was to break up with her former Twilight co-star.

In light of Stewart’s emotional comments, Wendy Williams recently spoke out against the actress. According to Classical Light, Williams took Pattinson’s side on the issue and called out Stewart for cheating on Pattinson when they were dating.

“[K Stew] recently announced that her breakup from Robert Pattinson was ‘incredibly painful,'” Williams stated. “Kristen did you forget that Rob dumped you because you were cheating with your director, Rupert Sanders, who was married?! I have no sympathy for Kristen.”

Williams didn’t stop there. She went on to add that Stewart is just using Pattinson in order to jump start her own career, which hasn’t been great following the success of Twilight.

“I know Kristen needs all the press she can get now that her Twilight days are over, but it’s obvious she’s only talking about Rob to stay relevant…” Williams explained. “Stop reliving the past and start rebuilding your acting career!”
