Meghan King Edmonds’ Husband Jim Edmonds Supports Her Not Backing Down From Brooks Ayers

According to Meghan King Edmonds, her husband Jim Edmonds isn’t concerned that she may find herself the recipient of a lawsuit from Brooks Ayers. On Friday, the Real Housewives of Orange County newbie said that her husband fully supports her decision to not back down from Vicki Gunvalson’s ex-boyfriend.

Shortly after filming the Season 10 reunion, Meghan was back on Twitter to address the fact that Brooks has threatened her with legal action for questioning and investigating his claim that he has cancer. Meghan tweeted the link to an interview that she did with People that talked about how she feels about a possible lawsuit coming her way. In a riff of the children’s tale Little Red Riding Hood, Meghan added that she’s not afraid of the big bad wolf because her house is made of bricks. She made sure to direct the tweet to Brooks’ Twitter handle so that he’s aware that she’s confident that he won’t win.

In response to someone who asked her how her husband feels about her position, Meghan replied that he’s completely behind her.

The main focus for season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County has been Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers’ claim that he is fighting cancer and the other housewives’ suspicions regarding that claim. Unlike the other housewives, Meghan King Edmonds hasn’t just questioned the claim but has outright investigated it, going so far as calling Brooks’ medical offices and one of his ex-girlfriends in an attempt to prove his claim wrong.

Meghan, who frequently boasts about her research and investigative skills, has made it her personal mission to uncover the truth. Yet the episodes make it seem as if her husband, ex-professional baseball player and current broadcaster Jim Edmonds, is tired of her antics. He has been shown exasperated by Meghan’s drama with Vicki and Brooks. He has even been shown, during scenes with Vicki and Brooks, telling Meghan to stop her behavior and that he wants nothing to do with the drama.

In one scene, Jim didn’t lash back at Vicki, but just stood by as she insulted Meghan, calling her “evil” and “classless,” and predicted that Jim will soon move on to another woman. In another scene with Meghan, Vicki and Brooks, Jim exchanged pleasantries with Brooks and patted him on the back as they left the room.

It’s not surprising then that many viewers would assume that Jim is angry at Meghan for dragging them into a possible lawsuit. Yet the opposite seems to be true. On Saturday, Meghan revealed that her husband has surprised her with a romantic getaway vacation to Cabo, Mexico, in celebration of their anniversary.

Two days ago, Jim expressed his excitement over seeing Meghan in Los Angeles after his return from the Midwest and her return from a service trip in Cambodia.

“Can’t wait to see the Mrs.”

In an interview with Us Weekly on Thursday, Brooks talked about his plans to sue Meghan if she doesn’t stop what she’s doing. Brooks said that his attorney has sent her a letter “demanding certain things.” As for what ground he has for suing, he said that what Meghan has and is doing is defamation.

“Meghan has scoffed that ‘Oh my God, Brooks is threatening to sue me.’ But what people don’t know is I have sent her a formal letter from my attorney…demanding certain things, and I do have significant grounds if she doesn’t change her ways and she’s got an opportunity to do that,” Ayers continued to Us. “[This is] defamation. I’m hitting back. She has a chance to make it right and we’ll see if she does or not.”

In an interview with People the next day, Meghan said that she has received a letter threatening that Brooks will sue if she doesn’t comply with his requests, which includes issuing a formal apology. Meghan said that Brooks doesn’t have the guts to actually sue her because he knows he’ll lose.

“I didn’t respond on purpose, because he’s full of crap and doesn’t have a case. So now I’m waiting to be sued. He won’t. He knows he’s a liar and he’s pissed off at me and made a feeble attempt to intimidate me into not talking. When really, it’s so ridiculous I simply laughed it off. He doesn’t have the balls to sue me.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Meghan on Tuesday practically challenged Brooks to sue her. “Let’s go baby!” she tweeted.

It’s likely that Brooks Ayers’ threat of legal action against Meghan King Edmonds was talked about on the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 reunion show, which filmed on Thursday. Although Vicki Gunvalson is no longer with Brooks, she has remained defensive over him, which means that viewers may very well see her and Meghan get into another screaming match when the reunion airs.
