Chris Bosh Won’t Play In Game 4

Chris Bosh is getting better everyday but he’s still not in playing condition. Bosh, as expected, will watch game four of the Miami Heat / Boston Celtics series from the bench.

Bosh participated in a shoot around last week and stood in for Kevin Garnett during Miami’s walk through before game 3 but Bosh still hasn’t fully recovered from the abdominal sprain he suffered at the start of the playoffs.

Coach Eric Spoelestra said that he isn’t even thinking about Bosh at the moment.

Spoelestra said:

“I’m not even thinking about Chris today. He’s not on my mind… ‘I love you, Chris, but I’m focused on (Game 4 on Sunday). That’s all my energies are focused on right now.”

Bosh is getting closer to returning but Spoelestra said that he hasn’t been called down to the court to watch Bosh’s progress yet.

“I know I don’t have to watch a workout of his today. If it ever gets to that point, I’ll start to let my mind go there. But it’s not at that time.”

The Heat have won two games (one in overtime) and lost a game to Boston this series. The Celtics will try to even the series at 2-a-piece tonight.

With Chris Bosh out of the lineup, the Celtics have been able to turn their focus on double-teaming Dwyane Wade.

Wade said:

“It’s no secret… I’m getting doubled at the top of the key. I’m getting doubled in the paint, so unless I shoot a turnaround jump shot all the time, which is not a good shot for our team, we’re going to have to find other ways to loosen things up…. When Chris is on the court, you can’t do that too much.”

Do you think the Miami Heat will be able to win this series without Chris Bosh?
