Selena Gomez Calls Fan ‘Immature,’ Tells Her To ‘Be Kind’ [Video]
Selena Gomez seems to love her fans, since she’s always addressing them on social media. Selena has even stopped and posed with large gatherings of her fans, as shown at her recent appearance in Paris.
Selena Gomez may love her dedicated “Selenators,” but that doesn’t mean she won’t call them out when necessary. Gomez, 23, was busy promoting her new album, Revival, in Paris when she found out that one of her fans stole her very expensive pair of sunglasses.
One of the Selenators allegedly stole the sunglasses from the “Good For You” singer’s dressing room. Her reasoning? She was holding Selena’s sunglasses as ransom for free concert tickets. Obviously, Selena was not too happy to hear the news. The unidentified fan made arrangements to show up at Selena’s meet and greet in Paris, after her interview with NRJ radio. The fan returned the sunglasses to Selena and apologized. She even mentioned something about Selena’s friendship with Demi Lovato, but Sel gave her fan the side away and told her that what she did was “very immature” and that she “has to be kind.”
It hasn’t been confirmed if this really went down between Selena Gomez and the fan, but fans are taking in the rumored story. Some have even taken to Tumblr and other blogging sites to create gifs of their alleged interaction. There’s no doubt that Gomez wasn’t too pleased, as you can see from her iconic side eye expression. Check out the video for yourself below.

It’s weird that the fan would even mention Selena Gomez’s rocky friendship with Demi Lovato. Fans were in a state of shock when the “Cool for the Summer” singer said that she no longer speaks to Gomez. When asked if she was still friends with Gomez, she gave Complex magazine a resounding, “Nope.”
She was then asked if Justin Bieber was the reason for their falling out.
“He’s actually a nice guy. I don’t really know him that well, but he seems to have grown up. He looks like he’s maturing. But you know, when you’re young and you get older, you change and people change. You have things in common, and then all of a sudden, you don’t. It’s just a part of life.”
Those statements made Selenators and Lovatics think that the BFFs known as “Delena” were no longer friends. Demi took wind of the rumors circulating across social media and said on Twitter that the interview took place months before she met up with Sel in September. She wrote, “Interviews are done months and months before the issue is published. [A] lot can change between then and now. Don’t read into the bulls**t.”
The former Disney stars had lunch and even posed for a selfie photo op on Instagram. Lovato captioned the super cute selfie, “Look how #coolforthesummer we are…Friends for years, #sameoldlove.” It was enough to make “Delena” fans explode since it was the first time they were photographed together since 2014.
She was also recently asked during her interview with Swedish radio station RIX FM, if she’s a better singer than Selena. Demi scoffed and responded, “What? That’s not even a good question. We both sing great.”
Gomez begs to differ. During her recent interview with Flare magazine, she revealed that she knows that she’s not the best singer. Gomez added that what sets her apart from other pop stars is that she tries to put feeling and emotion into her songs, as seen at her performance for “The Heart Wants What It Wants” at the 2013 American Music Awards.
“I’m not the best singer—like, I know I’m not Celine Dion. Ever since I was 16, I’ve had this lower register, what I thought was a very manly voice, and I was insecure about that. But once I started acting more, I realized it was an asset, and I didn’t want to force myself to aim for the highest note possible. My strength is translating emotion, because I’m such a feeler.”
Aside from the fan drama, it seems like Selena and Demi are cool with each other. Here’s a cute Selena Gomez fan moment that some will enjoy. The singer teased her new video for “Same Old Love” at a fan event. According to a previous report via the Latin Times, Selena’s new video includes appearances by her fans singing along to the song. There was one adorable fan who stood out in the video. The little girl did her best to try to bust to some moves as she listened along to the song in the car. Selena took note of her cute fan on Twitter.
