Selena Gomez Says She’s Dating, But Would Never Use Tinder

Selena Gomez is opening up about her dating life. The “Good For You” singer says she’s single and ready to mingle, but she would never use the infamous Tinder app.

Selena Gomez, 23, is gracing the November 2015 issue of Flare magazine. The singer and actress is showing some major style inside the magazine. Gomez rocks a variety of mini dresses and chunky platform heels, much like she’s been during her recent travels to the U.K. On the cover, Gomez wears a black leather corset with a white blouse underneath. She also has her raven black hair styled back as she wears a bold red lip.

The “Same Old Love” crooner wears some stunning looks inside the magazine. In one of the photos, she’s seen wearing a black and red Versace sweatshirt and matching skirt. In another photo, Selena lays back in a chair as she wears a black bedazzled mini dress with chunky lucite heels. Selena also opens up to the fashion magazine about her relationship status.

She tells the magazine that she prefers to go on traditional dates rather than use the popular dating app Tinder.

“I would never go on Tinder! I think it would scare me. I go on dates. It’s not that difficult – I’m not a nice young lady [laughs] – but that’s not my focus. I’m really stoked about being with myself right now.”

That’s a different opinion from what Disney alum Hilary Duff had about the dating app. She revealed earlier this year that she was prowling for men on Tinder after divorcing from her ex-husband Mike Comrie. It was then revealed that Duff’s Tinder profile was used as the inspiration for her latest music video, “Sparks.”

The 27-year-old singer then revealed to Pridesource back in July that although her profile is still on the dating app, she’s not actively using it.

“I’m not using it. It was really fun for me for a minute; I wanted to experience something totally normal and also shock people. No one thought I was really on it – and I was really on it! So I integrated that into my video (for ‘Sparks’) and showed a side of me that’s really real, really normal.”

Hilary and her retired hockey player boyfriend ended their relationship earlier this year, and then filed for divorce in March after cheating rumors circulated online.

As for Selena, she’s also aware that her own love life was tumultuous for the past few years. She was in an on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber, after all.

“I’ve felt so much in the past two years, from being super in love and then dealing with things to getting older and all these beautiful experiences that were complicated and exciting.”

Since splitting from the Biebs for good in early 2014, Gomez has been linked to German DJ Zedd. The two even collaborated on the song “I Want You To Know” earlier this year, prompting fans to give them the couple name “Zeddlena” and “Zelena.” The two ended their brief relationship, but they’re still working in the recording studio together.

Since then, Selena Gomez has been linked to exes Nick Jonas and David Henrie, along with up-and-coming singer Charlie Pluth. Gomez has been denying the dating rumors left and right on social media and in recent interviews.

The former Disney star even made the “Jelena” rumors swirl when she said that she was rooting for Justin’s comeback and said she always saw the good in him.
