Marilyn Monroe Hologram In The Works

Let the parade of dead celebrities begin! Ever since the Tupac Hologram wowed crowds at Coachella this year, people have been talking about what celebrities they would like to see rise from the dead. Well, it looks like Marylin Monroe is next in line.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Digicon Media is currently planning a live concert, Virtual Marilyn Live — A Musical Celebration of the Birth of the Pop Icon, that would feature a Marilyn Monroe hologram.

The virtual Marilyn will perform beside real music stars just like Tupac did with Snoop Dogg at Coachella.

The show is reportedly in the very early stages. It doesn’t have a venue secured yet and there’s no expected release date. But, someday, somewhere, Marilyn Monroe will return to the stage.

Digicon Media’s spokesperson, Becky Altringer, said that Marilyn Monroe’s hologram will be used at first in the concert, but if everything goes well, the late Monroe could be at the beginning of a new career as a “a performer, spokesperson, cultural pundit, and computer avatar.”

What do you think about the performing holograms? Do you really want to see the ghosts of dead celebrities? If you do, who would you like to see return from the dead in hologram form?
