Jeremy Calvert’s Ex-Wife ‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer Discusses Their Custody Agreement, Admits She Still Loves Him
Jeremy Calvert’s marriage to Leah Messer was discussed during the Teen Mom 2 star’s recent Q&A on Facebook. On September 30, Starcasm reported news of Messer’s chat with fans, revealing the reality star was asked quite a few questions in regard to her marriage to Jeremy Calvert, as well as their current relationship and custody agreement for two-year-old Adalynn.
“Marriage takes work… A lot of it!” Jeremy Calvert’s ex-wife told fans.

Messer and Jeremy Calvert tied the knot in April 2012, less than one year after Messer divorced first husband Corey Simms, the father of her five-year-old twin girls, Ali and Aleeah. One year later, they welcomed Messer’s youngest daughter, Adalynn. While the couple experienced marital bliss for a short time, their relationship quickly became strained due to Jeremy Calvert’s hectic work schedule, which often kept him out of town for weeks at a time. Even though Messer suggested they seek counseling for their issues, Jeremy Calvert declined, and their marriage struggles played out during the fifth season of Teen Mom 2.
Months later, after filming wrapped in late 2014, Jeremy Calvert shocked fans on Twitter, when he shared a series of tweets, which alleged Messer had cheated on him with Robbie Kidd, the same man with whom she cheated on Simms. However, despite Jeremy Calvert’s claims against his then-wife, he and Messer attempted to rekindle their romance in the weeks that followed. Then, in June 2015, their divorce was finalized and custody arrangements for Adalynn were made.
“We get along great! [Jeremy Calvert] sees Addie anytime he’s in and we just really work together on when she sees him and when she sees me. We let her decide,” Messer explained of her two-year-old.
During season 6 of Teen Mom 2, Jeremy Calvert appeared to be on the outs with Messer, and at one point, he met with Simms to discuss her alleged drug issue. While Messer denies having an addiction problem, despite her 30-day stint in treatment during filming, both of her ex-husbands have mentioned the idea a couple of times throughout season 6. Looking back on her two failed marriages to Simms and Jeremy Calvert, Messer admitted her second divorce was “humiliating,” but also said it was a “lesson learned.”

And while Messer and Jeremy Calvert didn’t seem to be on good terms while filming season 6, they are now in a good place, and in a message to a fan during her Q&A, Messer admitted she still loves Jeremy Calvert.
“[Jeremy Calvert] and I have talked but just remained as friends… I do love Jeremy, but when you say for better or worse you don’t give up easily on that person! I’m just thankful we do what is best for our daughter and always have her best interest at heart!”
After splitting from Messer, Jeremy Calvert went on to date Brooke Wehr, who traveled to Los Angeles in July to accompany him on his trip to film the reunion special, which begins tomorrow night. Meanwhile, Jeremy Calvert’s ex-wife, Messer, is rumored to be dating her personal trainer, T.R. Dues, although she has denied they are living together.
At this point, it is unclear whether or not Jeremy Calvert is still dating Wehr due to their failure to speak out about the issue.
