‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers: Fan Secretly Films Popular Actor In Long-Awaited Scene?

One nifty Game Of Thrones fan has insisted that he recorded Sean Bean shooting the much-anticipated Tower Of Joy scene in the beloved fantasy drama, after crawling through the mud to get there.

There’s just one problem: it’s impossible to tell from the footage that he has recorded whether or not it’s actually Sean Bean in the scene.

Warning to those of you that haven’t seen the show, there are some Game Of Thrones SPOILERS ahead.

However, let’s not let that ruin our fun. Richard Atkinson took to his Facebook page to upload the footage, which he insists was from the Game Of Thrones set. You can head over to his account to watch the video here.

In the clip, at around the 1 minute and 21 second mark, Atkinson remarks, “That one in the brown, the one closest to us, that’s Sean Bean.” He then adds that he doesn’t know who the man in the armour is that Sean Bean’s character is fighting.

Atkinson even decided to try and quietly encourage Sean Bean as he partook in his battle. He can be heard shouting, “Go on Beany, get him!” In the fight sequence, you can see the alleged Sean Bean go against some kind of guard before he receives some assistance from his comrade, and the guard is then killed.

According to The Independent, Atkinson had to climb three miles over Spanish hills to film the above footage. Meanwhile, the clearly fanatical Game Of Thrones fan went on to upload a second video where he insisted that he’d already met some of the crew from the show.

Of course, as fans are well aware, Eddard Stark was beheaded in the first season of Game Of Thrones. It’s impossible to tell if the actor involved in the shoot was actually Sean Bean, or if it was a younger actor playing Ned Stark.

Sean Bean was recently asked about whether he had filmed a potential flashback sequence for the sixth season of Game Of Thrones at the premiere of The Martian by Hey U Guys. And, if you watch the clip below, you could see him get a tad befuddled before being ushered away.

It was previously alleged that the integral scene being filmed at the Castillo de Zafra in Campillo de Duenas, Spain, this week is the much-hyped Tower Of Joy sequence, via The Independent.

Further evidence that this sequence is currently being filmed emerged on Tuesday, via The Huffington Post, when a covertly filmed video appeared to show a sword fight outside of the Tower Of Joy.

If this is actually the Tower Of Joy scene, then it will be one of the most hotly anticipated in the show’s history as it will answer a disputed and popular fan theory regarding Game Of Thrones.

Obviously, there are further SPOILERS ahead, so those of you that don’t want Game Of Thrones’ sixth season to be ruined shouldn’t read on.

In this scene, a young Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) travels down to The Tower Of Joy to save his sister. After defeating several members of the kings guard, Ned finds his sister Lyanna Stark dying inside the tower.

It’s at this point that the fan theory gets very interesting because it’s been speculated that this is when she hands him her son, Jon Snow, whom she had with Rhaegar Targaryen. According to the theory, Ned then raises Jon Snow as his own bastard son.

This scene was originally contained in the book, A Song Of Ice And Fire. But it looks as though, in the show, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) will have a vision of it instead as he was present during filming, as well.

Other evidence that this scene has been shot is that recent casting calls have asked for a “legendary fighter,” who would play Ser Arthur Dayne, as well as two actresses, one of whom would be Lyanna.
