Kim Kardashian Says Kanye West Is Serious About Running For President

Kim Kardashian is speaking out about the possibility of Kanye West running for president in 2020. When Kanye made the announcement, nobody was sure if Kim’s husband was telling the truth, but it is coming out now that he really does plan to do it. Kim Kardashian sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and shared that Kanye never even told her that he was going to announce this at the 2015 VMAs. It came as a shock to Kim just like it did to everyone else. Us Magazine shared what Kim Kardashian had to say about Kanye’s big decision.

“That was news to me. No, that wasn’t a discussion in our household. That’s a big thing to, you know, not talk to your wife about. I believe he is serious, and I know if he puts his mind to something he’ll do his best. It’s been fascinating hearing all the conversations that’ve gone on since that announcement. I don’t know if that was planned, and I just didn’t know about it, or if he came up with that idea right then and there.”

Kim Kardashian went on to talk about how much Kanye West likes to redecorate. Kim said that if he actually won his run for president, then Kanye would have to make sure to get reelected. Kim said he would spend so much time redecorating that they would need a second term to get to enjoy the way he made the White House. Of course, Kim’s husband has to win the first time before Kim and Kanye even need to start worrying about this stuff.

Kanye West was at the 2015 VMAs in late August when he made the announcement. Kim Kardashian was sitting in the audience and watching it all go down. Kim was obviously shocked to hear the news, since they hadn’t even discussed it at all. Kim Kardashian had no idea that she might become first lady someday, but it is looking like that could happen if Kanye continues on with his big plan to run for president in 2020.

ABC News shared what Kanye West had to say about the possibility of being President and having Kim Kardashian becoming the first lady. Kim’s husband actually said that he hates politics, but he does care about the people. Kanye shared more about his thoughts and even said that North and Kim come first. His family is the top priority, and they even have a son on the way. Kanye spoke out about his plans on his presidential run.

“I want everyone to win. When I run for president, I’d prefer not to run against someone. I would be like ‘I want to work with you. I sit in clubs and I’m like, Wow, I’ve got five years before I go and run for office and I’ve got a lot of research to do, I’ve got a lot of growing up to do.”

Kim Kardashian would definitely be a different kind of first lady than everyone is used to seeing. It would be very interesting to see how much of his presidency that Keeping Up With the Kardashians would actually get to record. Kim Kardashian’s fans would want to be able to see as much of it as possible. Kim’s husband won’t even be running for president for another five years, but Keeping Up With the Kardashians doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
