Kelly Clarkson Forced To Cancel The Remainder Of Her ‘Piece By Piece’ Tour Dates

Kelly Clarkson has been forced to cancel the remainder of her “Piece by Piece” tour dates, per doctors orders.

According to Taste of Country, Clarkson had to cancel several American tour dates earlier this month after the doctors ordered her to rest her vocal cords. Now, Clarkson has had to cancel the remaining U.K. and Canada dates due to the same reason.

Kelly Clarkson made the announcement on her official website, apologizing to her fans for disappointing them.

Below is a list of the cancelled dates:

Although it wasn’t the announcement they wanted to hear, Kelly’s fans seemed to be supportive of her decision, saying that her health was the most important thing.

“God Bless You Kelly for sharing your gift of voice with the world — rest your voice as the doctor says and we will see you on the road when you are ready. Congrats on your pregnancy too!!” one fan wrote.

Kelly Clarkson’s “Piece by Piece” tour marks her eighth headlining tour since she became the first ever American Idol. She launched her tour on July 11 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and the last time she performed was on September 10 in Atlanta, Georgia. The tour was scheduled to end on November 20 in London, England. Kelly released her latest album by the same name earlier this year in February.

“So bummed that I have to cancel some of my tour dates,” Kelly wrote at the time in an Instagram post that shared the cancelled U.S. dates.

“I can’t wait to get healthy and see y’all back on the road soon. I hate canceling and I am truly sorry to my fans that have been excited to see this show. Please know that I never cancel anything unless it’s absolutely necessary.”

The 33-year-old “Invincible” singer revealed some exciting news during an August concert in Los Angeles at the Staples Center. During an unplanned announcement, Clarkson told her fans that she and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, are expecting their second child together, according to People Magazine. Clarkson married the 38-year-old talent manager in October, 2013.

“I was not planning on announcing this, but … I’m totally pregnant. I’m having a really hard time,” she confessed as she tried to gather her emotions to sing her song, “Piece by Piece.” “I’m gonna nail the s*** out of this song. That was not how I wanted to announce that … I hate this song right now,” she continued, while wiping tears from her eyes.

Kelly and Brandon are already parents to 14-month-old River Rose. While River was Kelly’s first child, Brandon had two children — a son, Seth, and daughter, Savannah — from his previous marriage. Although Clarkson is excited about her second pregnancy, she admitted that she is a little scared of what kind of temperament the baby will have since River has been such an easy baby.

“I feel like something horrible’s gonna come out of me. Because she’s so great — like, the yin to her yang,” Kelly said.
