Young Thug: ’90 Percent Of My Closet Is Women’s Clothing’

While nobody is much surprised by actions or declarations that Young Thug may make these days, it is definitely a believable statement that his closet is mostly women’s clothing, being that he has a penchant for wearing skirts often. It has frequently been speculated that Young Thug is the first gay thug rapper, as previously reported by the Inquisitr. Whether true or not, Young Thug is not about to let much define him – certainly not cultural norms or any type of conformity. He is, quite simply, who he is, with absolutely no apologies, according to Complex. The gender-bending rapper was very matter of fact about his penchant for women’s clothing and why he says he prefers them over men’s clothing.

“The clothes I got on right now, they’re women’s. Because women’s clothes are [slimmer] than men’s clothes The jeans I got on right now, they’re women’s jeans. But they fit how they’re supposed to fit. Like a rockstar. The only thing I probably have in men’s is like, briefs. T-shirts. 90% percent of my clothes are women’s.”

The rapper has also posed for Dazed wearing a Gucci dress. It’s become apparent that his affinity for women’s clothing is his norm, but his willingness to speak on that penchant answered some of the questions that continue to pop up about the wildly popular controversial rapper.

According to Rolling Out, Young Thug’s long anticipated (and badly delayed) debut album, Barter 6, debuted at No. 22 on Billboard 200 chart, selling a disappointing 17,000 copies in it’s first week, which may mean that people are more interested in his antics than in his actual music. And for the record – Young Thug claims he is engaged to marry a woman, despite his public expressions of love for Birdman and Gucci Mane, who is currently in prison on an assault charge.

Regardless of his poor initial turnout on the album, Thugger continues to make lots of headlines with his infamous Instagram posts that frequently call out other people or declare his love for people. Far from being just a social sensation, the rapper is in serious trouble with the law as well, having been indicted in a plot to attempt to kill Lil Wayne last April, although he denies those charges. He also has been charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and assault after he threatened to shoot a mall security officer after he and his entourage were asked to leave the mall. One wonders if men are allowed women’s issued uniforms in prison.
