Fetty Wap Update: With 500,000 Searches On Google, Fetty’s ‘Stable’ Condition Called ‘Gucci’ By DJ

Fetty Wap and his motorcycle accident caused plenty of concern from Fetty’s fans on Saturday, September 26 — so much so that Wap became a trending search on Google and plenty of other social media sites, with Google Hot Trends reporting that Fetty received 500,000 searches on the same day as his accident. Along with Wap’s rapper name, related searches such as “Fetty Wap hit by car, Fetty Wap accident, Fetty Wap eye, Fetty Wap motorcycle accident, and what happened to Fetty Wap” also made up the half a million searches that Google reports flooded into the search engine.

Photos of Fetty on the ground after the accident, and those showing Wap being transported into an ambulance, looked serious. Along with an eyewitness testimony from a young boy saying he saw Fetty fly in the air after colliding with another vehicle, the reports of Fetty’s accident proved it was a serious crash. As such, #PrayForFetty became a trending Twitter topic.

An updated Twitter post by , showing Fetty sitting up on a hospital gurney with his left leg in a brace and being tended to by EMT personnel, set everyone’s mind at ease about Wap’s condition. Fetty looks awake and alert in the photo, and with the description calling Wap “Gucci,” which means he’s all good, further helped to calm the nerves of those worried about the Paterson, New Jersey, native son.

“Wap is Gucci everybody thank you for your prayers.”

According to People, Wap’s PR rep released a statement that further solidified the fact that Fetty is in stable condition, and that Wap’s family is grateful for everyone’s concern and prayers. The rep also vowed that updates about Fetty will be provided.

“Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today. He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available.”

The 24-year-old Wap’s accident was first reported by TMZ. Fans of Fetty — whose real name is Willie Maxwell — are pleased as punch that the man who dropped the self-titled Fetty Wap album just one day prior to the motorcycle accident appears to be doing just fine. Those who fell in love with Wap’s curious lyrics on songs like “Trap Queen” and his unique crying-style of singing are no doubt over the moon that Fetty will go on to make more banging music.
