Michael Jackson Letter Removed From Auction

A handwritten letter by the late Michael Jackson was set to go up for sale during a Julien’s Auction at the end of June, but his ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley has pulled the note from the auction block.

New Magazine reports that the letter was written between 1993 to 1996. In the note Jackson talks about his battle with insomnia

The note, which was addressed to Presley, reads:

“Lisa I truly need this rest I haven’t slept litterally (sic) in 4 days now. I need to be away from phones and business people. I must take care of my health first. I’m crazy for you.”

TMZ reports that Jackson’s insomnia was one of the main reasons that he started taking Propofol, the drug that ended up taking his life.

Darren Julien said that he was contacted by Lisa Marie Presley who requested for the letter to be taken off the auction block. Julien said:

“I’m assuming it’s (of) a personal nature, and we wanted to honour the request and continue our good relationship with Ms. Presley.”

Presley is also tied to another kind-of-creepy auction. Her father’s crypt will be going up for auction at the end of June. Elvis Presley’s original resting place has an opening bid of $100,000.
