The USA Eagles go for their first victory in the 2015 Rugby World Cup Sunday, in a match fans can watch live streaming online when the USA faces Scotland in an important Pool B group stage match. The USA fell to Samoa 25-16 in their opening match last Sunday in Brighton, England, while Scotland got easily into the win column, cruising past Japan on Wednesday, 45-10.
With the quick, four-day turnaround for Scotland — and with another game six days later on October 3 — the Scots will feature 10 changes to their starting XV after the win over Japan. Scotland must next face powerhouse South Africa, whose 46-6 win over Samoa on Saturday got the Springboks back on track after their shocking two-point loss to Japan in their World Cup opener.
“We said from the start that we’d need the whole group of 31 players for this campaign,” Scotland Coach Vern Cotter told Britain’s Guardian newspaper on Friday.
“We’ve known this schedule for a long time and have tried to keep continuity in selection, while also introducing fresh legs to what will be another very physical challenge this Sunday.”
The USA Eagles, on the other hand, will need to right the ship after essentially giving away the game last Sunday, committing twice as many penalties as Samoa — a factor which, though the USA was certainly outplayed in every other aspect of the game, could have led to a different, or at least closer, result, had the USA played a cleaner game.

With Scotland playing a largely second-string side on Sunday, the game represents at least a chance for a USA win — though mots rugby experts see the chance as a small one at best.
The USA has announced just one change for the Scotland match, with 30-year-old Phil Thiel coming in at hooker and Coack Mike Tolkin sending 26-year-old Loyola Marymount University grad Zach Fenoglio to the bench, at least to start the game.
The Eagles will once again be led by Captain Chris Wyles, as well as speedy winger Takudzwa Ngwenya, as they are expected to attack Scotland with their trademark freewheeling and physical style of play — a stark contrast to the more regimented approach of Scotland’s previous opponent, Japan, who generally favor pre-planned plays in most situations.
Despite the bizarre upset to Japan, South Africa still leads Pool B with seven points and remains the clear favorite to top the group and advance to the knockout stage. A win over the USA Sunday would put second-place Scotland in a comfortable position to secure the other knockout stage slot coming out of Pool B.
