Chris Brown Reportedly ‘Devastated’ At News Of Fetty Wap’s Accident, DJ Louie Styles Says Wap Is ‘Gucci’

Fans and well-wishers around the world held a virtual vigil for Fetty Wap online throughout the day on Saturday as news spread of the rapper’s harrowing motorcycle accident in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. Particularly moved by reports of Fetty’s misfortune was his recent touring partner, singer Chris Brown. Celebrity news site Hollywood Life quoted an unnamed source close to the situation who advised that Brown was distraught after he saw pictures of the accident scene posted online.

“Chris can’t believe what he’s seeing online,” the source commented. “Fetty is his boy, and seeing him all beat up and bruised is devastating to [Brown]. … They were just touring together and Chris is beside himself.”

Indeed, the photos that were initially publicized by TMZ after Fetty’s accident depict a disturbing situation. In one photo, the rapper is on the ground being attended to by individuals at the scene. Another image shows Fetty on a backboard and stretcher. Additional pictures show Fetty Wap in the care of paramedics.

Fetty Wap’s accident reportedly occurred when he was trying to pass a vehicle in front of him. After he went left of the center line, Fetty was struck head-on by an oncoming car. As previously noted by Inquisitr, an eyewitness said that Fetty Wap “flew” over the car. He was apparently conscious when EMTs arrived on the scene. Associated Press reports that no citations have been issued in the matter thus far.

Once Chris Brown learned of Fetty Wap’s accident, he attempted to call the rap star’s representatives for additional information, according to Hollywood Life.

“He can’t believe this is happening,” Hollywood Life‘s informant said. “He’s called Fetty’s people to see … that he’s all right. This is bad news but Chris hopes everything will be fine.”

Brown himself didn’t comment on Fetty Wap’s situation via social media but he did take to Twitter to promote his new album Zero, which is available on Apple Music.

Fetty Wap’s pal DJ Louie Styles took it upon himself to update the world on Fetty’s condition later in the day, posting a series of messages on Twitter regarding the rapper’s condition. As noted by Fashion & Style, one tweet included a photograph of Fetty with a splint on his leg as he spoke to medical staff. DJ Louie captioned the pic with the words “(W)ap is Gucci everybody…”

Fetty Wap, 25, saw the release of his first solo album on Friday. He supported Chris Brown on the singer’s “One Hell of a Night” tour over the summer, performing dates in Chicago, Miami, San Diego, and many other U.S. cities.
