Frances Bean Cobain, Daughter Of Kurt Cobain, Marries, Doesn’t Invite Courtney Love, Doesn’t ‘Really Like Nirvana’ [Video]

Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain, married her long-time boyfriend, Isaiah Silva — but she didn’t invite mom Courtney Love, reports Perez Hilton. Frances Bean recently reconnected with Love after a very public split, but despite Courtney’s insistence that her relationship with Cobain is solid, she still wasn’t invited to the nuptials.

According to E! News, Courtney was “devastated” she wasn’t invited to the wedding. A source close to Cobain revealed that “Courtney loves Isaiah but was devastated to learn that Frances had gotten married without her knowing.” The source continued that “Courtney is sad she wasn’t at the wedding” but is “very happy for Frances” and “really likes Isaiah.”

E! News also reports that while Frances Bean did not invite Love to the wedding, Cobain still called her mother after with the news. According to the source, Love “understands why she did it… Frances needs a man in her life.”

In past interviews, Courtney has insisted that growing up without a father was difficult for Frances Bean who has “no memories of her father. Not one,” reports Perez Hilton. Love also said, in an interview with E! News, that Frances Bean “has always craved stability” and getting married offers Cobain a chance at stability with Isaiah.

The rocker also revealed that Frances had a chance to be in the teen cult classic film Twilight but is glad that Cobain turned it down. According to her mother, Frances is “not someone who should be in the public eye, at this point.” Love insisted that Frances Bean was offered a role in Twilight because “of her beauty and provenance,” but she’s “glad [Cobain] didn’t do all the kind of things she was offered.”

Perez Hiton reports that mom believes that Frances “really needs, at this point in her life, is the next level of education.”

E! News reports that the secret wedding “has not caused a rift between mom and [Frances]” and Love thinks “Isaiah is a great son-in-law.” Frances Bean apparently had been planning the secret wedding for over a year, and invited 13 to 15 guests. Her decorations included daisies in mason jars.

The Hole frontwoman and Cobain recently showed that their relationship is on the mend when Love shared birthday wishes to her 23-year-old daughter. Calling Frances “[m]y greatest love” and “our precious Bean,” the singer shared intimate throwback photos depicting a tiny Frances laying in bed with her mother and father.

She also shared a second photo of Frances as an infant, captioning the snap, “Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking..?!?! God I miss you, we all miss you.”

Frances Bean Cobain recently revealed that she’s not a fan of Nirvana, but she still hangs out with her father’s old bandmates. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the 23-year-old confessed “I don’t really like Nirvana that much” and prefers “Mercury Rev, Oasis, Brian Jonestown Massacre… The grunge scene is not what I’m interested in.”

Frances Bean said that her father’s bandmates have the “K.C. Jeebies” when they see her, insisting she looks and acts just like Kurt Cobain. Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear insist “They look at me, and you can see they’re looking at a ghost” and at times reveal Frances is “doing exactly what your father would have done” by affecting a certain look or reaction.
