Josh Duggar’s Wife, Anna Duggar, Taking Time For Herself While Family Stages Intervention

While Josh Duggar takes a break from being in the public eye at a faith-based rehab facility, his embattled wife, Anna Duggar, is caring for four young children who probably don’t understand why they’ve suddenly become fatherless. Luckily, Anna is getting plenty of help and support from various family members.

During a recent interview with ET Online, Josh Duggar’s cousin, Amy Duggar, gave fans an update on Anna’s current mental state. Amy said that Anna is “doing well,” and she commended her strength. According to Amy, Anna is holding it together better than she would if she found herself in a similar situation.

Anna’s summer has been a rather hellish one. Back in May, In Touch Weekly published a police report documenting Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation of his younger sisters. Josh was forced to resign from his position with the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., so he and Anna moved back to Arkansas while Anna was heavily pregnant with their fourth child. According to People, TLC announced that it was cancelling 19 Kids and Counting three days before Anna and Josh Duggar announced the birth of their fourth child. This news probably cast a bit of a shadow over what should have been a joyous occasion, and things only got worse a month later when Gawker discovered that Josh Duggar was using the Ashley Madison website to arrange extramarital affairs. Josh responded to this revelation by confessing to being unfaithful and addicted to pornography, and he checked into rehab.

According to Amy Duggar, Anna is trying to recover from her cruel summer by spending a lot of time with family members, and this means that she’s been getting plenty of help with her kids. Some of Josh and Anna’s children have been seen spending time with Josh Duggar’s sisters, Jill and Jessa. A few days ago, Jessa shared a video that shows Anna and Josh’s two older children, Michael and Mackynzie, playing football with a few of their aunts and uncles.

During a break from their mission trip, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard took Michael and Mackynzie out for Krispy Kreme donuts on Talk Like a Pirate Day.

According to Amy, Anna Duggar is “taking the time she needs for herself” while family members care for her kids.

Even though there are recent photos and videos showing Anna and Josh Duggar’s kids in Arkansas, some reports claim that Anna is back in Florida with her parents. It’s possible that Josh’s siblings and parents offered to take care of the kids so that Anna could have a little more time to herself, or maybe the Duggars thought that keeping Josh’s children close by would be a good way to ensure that Anna opts against divorcing Josh and cutting ties with his helpful family. If this was part of their plan, it could end up backfiring. A source recently told Hollywood Life that a few of Anna’s family members back in her home state are taking advantage of her separation from her kids and Josh’s kin by trying to convince her to leave her troubled husband. Anna’s brother, Daniel Keller, is allegedly leading the campaign to get her out of her “dysfunctional marriage.”

“He has rallied a couple of their sisters and brothers to take this opportunity to talk some sense into Anna,” the Duggar insider revealed. “They know when she’s at home surrounded by the Duggars and their friends, Anna will never listen to them. But Daniel and the others are hoping that getting her away from the Duggar clan will help. They want to stage a family meeting or divorce intervention and really tell Anna how they feel.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Daniel Keller made it very clear how he feels about Josh Duggar in a series of comments that he posted on Jessa Duggar’s Facebook page. He called Josh a “pig,” and he revealed that he isn’t going to give up on getting Anna to end her marriage. Daniel even told Anna that she and her kids could stay with his family, but Anna turned him down.

In Daniel’s opinion, Josh doesn’t see what he did to Anna as being a big deal. He thinks Josh won’t realize the gravity of his actions until he loses his wife and kids. However, while Daniel is trying to talk Anna into leaving Josh, Daniel and Anna’s parents are trying to convince their daughter that her best option is to stay with her husband of seven years.

It’s probably tough for Anna to be caught in this tug-of-war with her family members, but there’s one plus side to her situation — whether she decides to leave Josh Duggar or not, at least she knows that she can count on someone to support her decision and help her deal with the aftermath.
