‘Blue Bloods’ Season 6 Teases Conflicts Within The Family [Spoilers]

Fans have been missing Commissioner Frank Reagan and family all summer, but the wait is almost over. Season 6 of Blue Bloods airs tonight on CBS, and there is a lot of turmoil for the family, and the city they serve.

Entertainment Tonight reports that a terrorism threat will lead off the new season, and Commissioner Reagan’s plans don’t fall in line with his District Attorney daughter, Erin, and it’s her job to call him out.

“What if you raid that apartment, kill three Muslims and don’t find a single bomb on-site? That’s a lot of backfire that you’re standing in front of,” Erin tries to reason with her father.

“I’ll take that risk,” he says, showing her the door.

Should make Sunday night dinner just a bit awkward, don’t you think?

Vine Report says that the first episode, called “Worse Case Scenario,” has the family and the city on edge with threats of terrorism to the city and the country. On top of that, Danny Reagan is receiving death threats from a serial killer.

The Hollywood Hills says that throughout the season, new conflicts will arise for many of the Blue Bloods cast members. Mary Stuart Masterson will be joining the cast as a mayoral candidate who has a bone to pick with the police commissioner, accusing him of conducting a secret investigation into her husband. Fans will also get to finally meet Officer Eddie Janko’s family, including her estranged father, who winds up in the hospital. Esai Morales will also be joining the cast as Sergeant Delgado.

Bridget Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan, told the Christian Post that it feels good to be back to work with her “family.”

“You know, we live together for nine months a year, basically, working together. And we spend much time together that people have, you know, gotten sick, have gotten married, have had babies and we kinda all celebrate this different part of life together on weekly basis.”
