Jesse James Opens Up About Difficult Divorce From Sandra Bullock

Jesse James is now opening up about his divorce from Sandra Bullock. James, who famously cheated on America’s sweetheart, is now talking about the most painful part of the divorce for him.

In an interview with Graham Bensinger, the 46-year-old estranged ex didn’t blame Bullock for the divorce, and took responsibility for cheating on Bullock, which lead to their 2010 split. In the interview he said, “The relationship part I was able to put aside. I had to stand up in front of the media and take full account for what I did and I took it all. I took 100 percent of it right on the chin. Nobody does that. Everybody denies it.”

Back then it was reported that he had an affair with a few women throughout his five-year marriage to Sandra Bullock. The news came very close after Bullock won the Oscar for her role in The Blind Side. James later went on to open up about the scandal and publicly apologized to Sandra. Bullock then filed for divorce the same year.

The most painful part for Jesse James is that he didn’t get to have a relationship with Bullock’s son Louis. The couple were in the process of adopting Louis from New Orleans when the scandal hit. Instead of including James in the adoption process, Bullock went ahead without James.

Sounding extremely bitter about the ordeal, Jesse said, “I got divorced and lost a kid I adopted because of it. Whether that’s fair, whether I should have lost a kid due to infidelity, which I don’t think anybody ever does.”

He continued, “The painful part was about Louis, who we adopted. As bad as stuff was between us, we adopted a kid and things got kind of good for a little while and we had that kid to focus on, and, boom, it was over in 24 hours — gone, done.”

Despite the painful relationship, Jesse James moved on to date tattoo artist Kat Von D, before he married drag racer Alexis DeJoria. Sandra Bullock was linked to actors Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans, but those rumors were never confirmed. Now, it’s confirmed that Bullock has finally found love with 49-year-old photographer Bryan Randall.

These days Bullock stays busy raising her 5-year-old son Louis and acts when she has time. She went on to earn a second Oscar nomination for the 2013 sci-fi thriller Gravity.
