Kylie Jenner vs Kim Kardashian: Who Will Win the Battle for Ultimate Superstardom?

Kylie Jenner is growing more popular than her sister, Kim Kardashian, by the day. But it looks like Kim is cool with it, at least for now.

During a recent livestream, cheekily called, In Bed with Kim and Kylie, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars joked about their supposed rivalry, Gossip Cop reports.

“How do you feel now that you have dethroned me?” Kardashian sarcastically asked her little sister. Kylie didn’t answer and just smiled instead. To which Kim quipped, “I love it. I need some time off.”

The Kylie Jenner app has the most downloads out of all the Kardashian-Jenner apps. According to Fortune Magazine, the Kylie app was downloaded a total of 1.75 million times during its first week in The App Store. Khloe Kardashian’s app downloads totaled 498,00 during the first week. Kim got even fewer downloads than Khloe — only 477,000 downloads in the first week. Kylie is beating her sisters by a mile.

But has she already kicked her sister off her media throne? Kim doesn’t think so.

“I mean, honey, let’s be real, you’ve got to put in a few more years before you actually dethrone me,” Kardashian said on the livestream. “But I give my baton to you. Who better to pass on knowledge to my baby sister, rather than a random non-family member?”

Kim then added that she and Kylie have been trading style tips for some time now.

“You guys, this is amazing. I give Kylie all my tricks, I give her all my tips. I give her everything, and more,” Kardashian said on the stream. “She is so, like, deserving. If I would want anyone to follow in my footsteps, anyone to borrow my clothes, anyone to like share my glam team it is Kylie, King Kylie.”

Earlier this month, Life & Style ran a cover story claiming that Kim was suing Kylie for stealing her look. According to an alleged insider source, Kim was heard saying that she was entitled to abut 30 percent of Kylie’s earning because her little sister copied her.

Kim is fed up with how much money Kylie is making by mimicking her,” an insider allegedly told Life & Style. “She says she’s entitled to at least 30 percent of those earnings.”

But by the looks of their recent livestream, it doesn’t seem like Kylie and Kim will be heading to court anytime soon.

You may be wondering how Kylie Jenner, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner, became the most popular? Well, a lot of it has to do with her age, social media, and a whole heap of controversy. At just 18 years old, Kylie appeals to teenage girls who want to emulate her look. She also has one enviable facial feature, her lips, which she recently admitted were achieved via a doctor’s office.

The Kylie Jenner Lips spawned a slew of online makeup tutorials designed to help women achieve her look. It also spawned the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge where impressionable teenagers and a couple adults tried to suck the air out of a shot glass so that their lips would swell up. It got so bad that Kylie had to make a social media post urging people to stop.

Then there’s the Kylie and Tyga relationship. The two of them were coy about the nature of their relationship, mainly because Kylie not quite 18 when they started to be seen together. Tyga is 25 and has a son. Although most people speculated that they were romantically involved, they denied it until Kylie’s 18th birthday. Now Kylie Jenner and Tyga are more open about their relationship, and the tabloids and blogs are eating it up.

If there’s one place that Kim Kardashian is still dominating Kylie, it’s on Instagram. The Kylie Jenner Instagram page has almost 37 million followers while Kim’s Instagram following is 47 million. In the battle for net worth, Kim Kardashian also trumps her sister Kylie. According to Fox Business, Kim’s net worth is approximately $85 million while Kylie’s net worth is about $5 million.

So, it’s going to be a while before Kylie is able to dethrone Kim Kardashian, but luckily for her, she’s got youth on her side.
