WWE News: Major Names Sticking Up For WWE Superstar Cesaro, Could A Push Be Coming For The Swiss Superman?
WWE Superstar Cesaro has been impressive in a wrestling ring for years now. However, lately he has stepped it up a notch, making it almost impossible to ignore him. He doesn’t come out and talk as much as the others, but what he does when he is in WWE ring is only rivaled by a handful in the entire world right now. He may have the potential to outperform everyone if given the time to do it.
As such, he has earned a lot of praise among WWE fans, but he has also been getting a lot of love behind the scenes, as well.
It was thought that after his tag team partner, Tyson Kidd, went down with a serious injury, Cesaro would sort of go to mid-card hell and be used very little until Kidd could make his way back. Cesaro stopped all of the doubters by putting on 4 to 5 star matches every week on WWE RAW and SmackDown, then went on WWE PPVs.
Management took notice of this big time and used him in major rivalries to help get people over or help get him over. According to Daily Wrestling News, one of the biggest names backstage who is sticking up for Cesaro is John Cena. Cena has reportedly praised Cesaro several times over the years, but lately he is going out of his way to do it. Cena has specifically requested to work with Cesaro quite often, which is why they have either tagged or fought at WWE Live Events or on WWE programming.
It is said that Cena’s friendship with Cesaro and his praise for him go hand-in-hand.
Many people may scoff at the entire idea because Cesaro was forced to job The Big Show on WWE RAW this past week. The reason for the push for Big Show is due to him facing Brock Lesnar next weekend. He needs to look like a threat and they needed him to go over someone who fans knew had great in-ring ability. Due to the show happening so quick and the announcement for Big Show to take on Brock coming so late, WWE is scrambling to build Big Show up as much as possible.
That said, Cesaro is not expected to job people like Big Show for very much longer. Due to Cena’s support getting him over and the fact that management already likes him to begin with, Cesaro will most likely get a push toward the end of the year. Many believe that Cesaro will have a very good Royal Rumble performance and end up winning the Money in the Bank briefcase next summer to hopefully give him the chance to hold one World Title in his career.
While none of these rumors or analyses are guaranteed, it is worth noting that the reactions he is getting from fans have been noticed and the internal support he is getting more of can only be good signs for Cesaro’s WWE future.
