Why Can’t Kendall Jenner Date A Black Man? Michael B. Jordan Talks About His Ordeal

Fantastic Four actor Michael B. Jordan opened up to GQ about his rumored relationship with model and reality TV star Kendall Jenner.

In his GQ interview, Michael B. Jordan denied he is dating Jenner, saying she is just “a friend he knows well enough.” He also revealed that he received backlash online after he and Jenner were spotted leaving the Met Gala together in May.

“It’s the world we live in. They see white and black. I don’t,” said the rising actor.

A lot of his fans, according to Jordan, aren’t happy with the idea of him and Kendall Jenner together.

“People’s perspective on that is what it is. I don’t f—king know. I don’t live my life to make other people happy. It’s so weird, though, right? A lot of black fans were feeling like ‘Oh, my God, he should have been with a black woman’ and that whole thing.”

The actor added that he’s frustrated by his fans’ hostile reaction toward his rumored relationship with Jenner.

“I get it, but on the other hand it’s like, relax. You know – it’s 2015. It’s okay! People can like one another, not necessarily from the same history or culture or whatever the f—k it is,” he said.

Michael B. Jordan, 28, maintains that despite the circulating Kendall Jenner dating rumors, he is not in a relationship with her or any other girl because his focus is on his acting career.

“I try to be focused. I told myself at a young age that I would sacrifice all my twenties to my work. I’m 28. I’ve got a year and a half left,” said Jordan.

He was quick to add, however, that he understands what women want in a relationship, but it’s just that he’s unable to give it to them given his current priorities.

Jordan also said that he knows how it is to grow up with nothing, so he wants to assure himself that he’s doing his best for his family.

“I have to know that I gave everything I had to making my family okay. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters to me is my family, bro,” shared Jordan.

Sources say that Kendall Jenner and Michael B. Jordan weren’t at the Met Gala as a couple and assert that they coincidentally left the event at the same time. Sources add that the two celebrities aren’t in a relationship, nor are they hanging out, but just happened to be photographed together.
