J. Cole Allegedly Tried To Hookup With Uganda TV Personality, Rapper Gets Put On Blast

A Ugandan radio and TV host is at the receiving end of an online backlash after sharing she rejected J. Cole’s request for a “private time.”

Flavia Tumusiime, a popular radio, TV personality and actress in Uganda, claimed J. Cole, an award-winning rapper, wanted to spend some alone time with their first meeting.

In her 30 days with Flavia Tumusiime series, she shared it was after she interviewed J. Cole for Big Brother Africa when the rapper told her she looks nice and that he loved the interview.

“In 2012, when I hosted Big Brother Africa, I also got to interview US rapper J. Cole. The interview went well and after the show, my colleagues and I went for the after-party,” Flavia said.

The host continued that J. Cole was also there at the after-party so as a fan, she asked for a photo with him.

“After the picture, he told me ‘shawty you look nice and I loved the interview. There were girls that had been set to sit with him and dance with him, I moved away and left them to have their fun,” said Flavia.

Tumusiime added that an hour after that short encounter, one of J. Cole’s bodyguards came for her to tell her that the American rapper wanted to talk to her in private.

And fortunately for her, one of her friends warned her about J. Cole and said: “I bet he wants a moment with you alone, don’t be stupid, he thinks you are available. ”

Upon hearing her friend’s warning, Tumusiime promptly told J. Cole’s bodyguard to tell the rapper that she’s “okay here and if it was important he can come to us.”

The host added: “I was still shocked, what vibe did I give off that made me look like I wanted to go with him privately?”

Her revelation, however, drew mixed reactions online. On Facebook, a certain “Aino” wrote: “J COLE please!!!!!!!! We are all allowed to dream at some point but I think you’ve abused tht privilidge [sic] dear..J. cole didn’t want to hit that.”

Some even went as far as accusing her of revealing details of her encounter with J. Cole for the publicity: “this is #BS all women want to boast about how hot and loaded guy vibes them and they refused…reason? to raise their status! I can’t believe Flavia would stoop this low! Who will be next? Rick Ross? Tawakowa! Mschewww,” said No Mu Vi.

Fortunately, others were not as harsh and merely thought she’d misinterpreted J. Cole’s intentions. Some even remained loyal to the host and came to her defense.

“You no ‘gold digger’… Keep it locked my girl, ALWAYS. So proud of you (wink emoticon),” wrote Cecirah.

Facebook user, Faith, even thanked Tumusiime and wrote, “Yeah…even when one thinks she’s acting proper, one never really knows what kind of impression you are making to others… Thanks, this has by far been the most relatable post.”
