‘2 Broke Girls’ Will Not Be Broke?

Season five of 2 Broke Girls will air on CBS this fall, and rumors are that the girls will no longer be broke. Some speculate that this will be the season that Max and Caroline will swap their waitressing uniforms for designer apparel. However, nobody has confirmed that this will happen.

Christian Post reports that the rumor started when Kat Dennings, who plays Max on the show, told Seth Meyers that Max would go insane and “buy like 30 cars” if she ever had the money. She joked how there would be cars but no food. The actress did go on to say that the show is not about them being rich but about them being broke with a dream.

“I think Max would just go insane and buy like 30 cars…and then would have no food, but just like a lot of cars.”

It does not stop 2 Broke Girls fans hoping. The fifth season will see the 100th episode of the show, which could be when everything happens. It seems like it would be an unexpected change for both girls; maybe the two will win the lottery.

Rumors have come and gone when it comes to this comedy program, but that does not stop fans from speculating. Another rumor is that Oleg’s father will make an appearance in the season. Jonathan Kite, who plays the sleezy but adorable diner chef, was asked who he would like to play his father. He came up with big names like Daniel Day-Lewis and Meryl Streep before settling on Brad Garrett.

Another fan speculation about the two girls is that they will come out as gay eventually. Michael Patrick King, creator of the series, has said that it is possible considering they “don’t have time for sexual fluidity” right now. They have made sexual jokes in the past and shared a bed on more than one occasion. Whitney Cummings furthered the speculations by saying that it was always viewed as a romantic comedy between Max and Caroline. That was always the way it was written, with Caroline being the girl and Max acting like the guy.

While boyfriends have been in the show, none have stayed around for too long. One was written out because having him in made it less sexy.

However, Beth Behrs, who plays Caroline, seems to disagree with the idea of the 2 Broke Girls furthering their relationship to something romantic. She sees their friendship growing, and assured people that the two were just close friends, according to Latinos Post.

“I think [Whitney] meant ‘relationship’ as in the friendship growing. I can assure everyone, we’re really close friends and nothing more.”

2 Broke Girls currently has no confirmed start date for season five, but is expected this fall.
