Corey Simms Receives Praise From Jenelle Evans: What Did ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Say About Leah Messer’s Ex?

Corey Simms was applauded by his Teen Mom 2 co-star, Jenelle Evans, on Thursday. Ahead of the Season 6 finale episode later tonight, Evans spoke out about the best dad on their show, whom she claimed was Corey Simms.

“The first person that came to mind was [Corey Simms] for who would be the best significant other for [all of] Teen Moms,” Evans told Us Weekly in an interview on September 24. “[Corey Simms] does everything he can for his girls.”

Corey Simms shares 5-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah with his ex-wife, Leah Messer. However, after their marriage came to an end in 2011, just months after they wed, Corey Simms moved on with another woman, Miranda Simms, who is currently expecting his third child.

“[Corey Simms] and Miranda are happy.”

Corey Simms tied the knot with Miranda in June, 2013, and announced their pregnancy earlier this year. His future with the series, meanwhile, remains up in the air as Season 6 comes to a close. In July, a report surfaced claiming that Corey Simms, as well as Messer’s second ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, were likely leaving the show ahead of Season 7.

“[Corey Simms] is done with the show,” a source told Life & Style.

“[Corey Simms] told MTV he will not return for another season. He doesn’t think the money is worth the aggravation anymore. Jeremy also wants out of Teen Mom, but he hasn’t made any formal moves yet.”

Corey Simms has been seen throughout Teen Mom 2‘s reality run, but during Season 6, many fans turned on him due to his allegations against Messer. While many agree with Corey Simms, feeling Messer is dealing with a secret drug habit, other feel Corey Simms and his wife have been cruel with their comments suggesting Messer is an addict.

During the most recent episode of Teen Mom 2, which aired last Thursday, Corey Simms was seen meeting with Calvert to discuss the end of his marriage to Messer, and during their conversation, Calvert alleged Messer was dealing with a “prescription pill problem.” After the preview of the episode was shared online, Messer denied both Corey Simms and Calvert’s allegations, claiming their meeting was a “set up.”

For more Corey Simms, tune into the Teen Mom 2 Season 6 finale tonight, September 24, at 10 p.m. on MTV.
