Jackie Collins has passed away at the age of 77 after losing her battle with breast cancer. The death of the English-born novelist was reported by People after receiving a statement from the Collins family.

“It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer today.”

With over 40 years of published books to her credit, including many best-sellers and movie adaptations, Jackie Collins lived a vibrant but private life. Here are 10 facts about the amazing author that might surprise you.
