Will Beyonce Reunite With Destiny’s Child For Biopic Movie? New Album, Tour Might Be Coming Says Dad [Video]
Rumors have surfaced that Beyonce might reunite with her old group, Destiny’s Child, on a new movie, album, and tour, says her father, Mathew Knowles. In a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Knowles detailed his plans for a Destiny’s Child reunion – although Beyonce has yet to say if she’s on board.
Until 2011, Mathew managed Beyonce, and he told the Huffington Post he’s hoping to reunite Beyonce with her old group for a reunion tour and album. Even though Beyonce has managed a successful solo career, she still hasn’t officially broken it off with her former band mates.

In a 2014 interview with the Wall Street Journal, Knowles clarified that Beyonce hasn’t officially left Destiny’s Child, despite a 10 year lapse since their last album release. He’s hoping to reunite Beyonce with the trio for a new album.
Even though he no longer manages Beyonce, “[m]ost people don’t know that I still officially manage Destiny’s Child… Destiny’s Child has never broken up officially,” he clarified. “So don’t be surprised if one day there’s a new record and a tour.”
“I am extremely hopeful that the ladies will come back with an album and a tour,” the group’s manager told the news site, explaining “I’m working on a few Destiny’s Child projects right now,” including a movie.
The idea for the film about Beyonce and Destiny’s Child was kept under wraps until the Sony email hack revealed exchanges between Knowles and the company about the biopic, reports the Huffington Post.
After the leak, Knowles confessed to the Wall Street Journal that he envisioned the film would be about Beyonce and her partners during their early years, and the start of their rise to international fame. According to her father, the film would depict Beyonce and the other members of the trio at the ages of “9, 10 in Houston.”

The movie about Beyonce and her early years is still being shopped, and there’s no word whether Beyonce will be involved. Knowles has actors in mind for the cast – but wouldn’t reveal names to the Huffington Post, nor whether Beyonce will be in the movie.
Mathew also has some words of wisdom gleaned from his years managing Beyonce during her early career. He told the Huffington Post that he tried to support her passion as Beyonce grew up.
“For parents the first thing has to be the dream and passion of the child. There’s a difference between determination and passion, and sometimes people get that confused.”
