Brad Pitt And Wife Expand Already Busy Household With Syrian Refugee Adoption

The Brad Pitt family is expanding. Brad Pitt and wife Angelina Jolie already have six children. But they made a decision to adopt one more. The decision comes after Jolie’s work in Syria as the UN Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees put her in contact with three boys without a mother or father. The boys’ parents were killed in the ongoing civil war.

Angelina originally petitioned Brad to adopt all three brothers, before Brad’s advice that increasing their family to nine children would have a negative effect on the others. The couple’s first three adoptees come from Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Vietnam. Though the other three are biological, the couple can’t have more together since Jolie’s preventive surgery.

They should have probably gone ahead and adopted all three children. Brad Pitt might protest now, but managing six children has already given him plenty of practice. Despite the couple’s compromise on taking in only one of the brothers, what are the other two siblings going to think when they see where their brother has gone? Brad Pitt will eventually realize he has to keep the guys together. Will the other two be content to stay in a Syrian orphanage while their brother heads to America?

But Brad and Angelina still have to wait for the adoption to clear. A source told Movie Pilot that it’s “at least another four to five months before the child is brought to the United States.”

So Brad Pitt will have to be content with his current fatherhood tasks before the new arrival. As USA Today reports, Pitt is getting ready for the release of The Big Short, in which he plays a gray bearded, mop-haired financial professional. The Big Short is about the recent financial crisis of 2007-2010 and is set for a December release. The biggest attraction will be Brad’s silly hair.

If you are wondering how Brad Pitt balances an ever-expanding family while filming new movies, or how Jolie can manage her humanitarian work, motherhood, and acting, just look to the kids for the answer. The more kids they have, the more it seems to fuel their career creativity.

Brad and his wife are next scheduled to star together in a film directed by Jolie, By the Sea. The couple’s previous collaboration movie was all the way back in 2005, with Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Mr. & Mrs. Smith was prophetic, as during filming Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made their movie romance a real life one.
