‘The Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Season 7 Cast: Traci Lynn Johnson Out, Siggy Flicker In?

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 has just seen another casting update. Ahead of production on the new season, an E! News report claimed Traci Lynn Johnson was no longer in talks to join Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Jacqueline Laurita during the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Instead, the report claimed, Bravo is said to be in negotiations with relationship expert Siggy Flicker.

“It just didn’t work out,” E! News‘ source revealed in regard to Johnson’s rumored addition to The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

While Johnson, wife of Tiki Barber and close friend of Gorga, won’t be joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey, fans will likely see Flicker on season seven.

“There has been a meeting.”

Although Giudice, Gorga, and Laurita haven’t been officially announced as full-time cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, E! News claimed they likely would be, and creator Andy Cohen recently claimed he’d like to see Giudice, whose family recently shot a special documentary of their own, in front of the cameras as soon as she’s released from prison.

Back in March, a separate source spoke to E! News, claiming the Bravo reality series would be heading in a different direction during Season 7, and at the time, The Real Housewives of New Jersey producers were said to have spoken to a number of high-profile women, including Hala Kerik, wife of former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, and Amber Sabathia, wife of Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia.

“Their goal is to include more well-known names and make New Jersey look more glamorous, like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Potential new cast members are being told the show will take an entirely different direction. The focus isn’t going to be on Teresa and her family’s legal troubles. It’s time for a fresh start. More fun and more glam… It’s still early in the process. They’re meeting with a lot of women and trying to determine what ensemble will work best for the show.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 will begin production in November, and likely return to Bravo in the spring or summer of 2016. Meanwhile the Giudice’s three-part special, The Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Checks In, premieres on Sunday, October 11, at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Giudice, who has been with The Real Housewives of New Jersey since Season 1, will be released from prison on December 23.
