Josh Duggar Derails ’19 Kids’ $3.5M As Jessa Shuns: Why Did She & Jill Duggar Get Slammed On Social Media? [Video]

Josh Duggar has impacted every member of his family since the scandals that began with reports that he had molested five underage girls, including several of his sisters, when he was a teen and, thus far, included confessions to porn addiction and infidelity using the marital affairs site Ashley Madison. The impact stems from the cancellation of the lucrative 19 Kids and Counting TV show after Josh’s scandals erupted, reported Hollywood Take.

At $3.5 million net worth, the Duggar family has money in the bank. But despite initial reports that a spin-off would provide a new source of income, the continued negative publicity whirling around Josh has seemingly put the kibosh on that possibility. In addition, speaking opportunities that had provided even more money are increasingly unlikely.

For pregnant Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, it’s been challenging to stay positive. She found herself under fire when she provided fans with an address to which to send presents, informing them that she prefers Target and Walmart gift cards.

The premise of a Duggar family spin-off originally had focused on Jill and Jessa. But it’s not just the negative response to that post that has derailed that possibility.

Jessa has appeared to turn her back on the Duggar family after sharing what her father-in-law, Michael Seewald, wrote about Josh, and the resulting rift may also impact any possibility of coming together for a spin-off.

“It distresses me to say that Josh Duggar’s greatest sin is a byproduct of the sum total of his secretly sinful lifestyle,” stated the post that Jessa shared. “That is, by his hypocrisy, he blasphemed the name of God. He claimed to be a Christian, but by his deeds he has suggested otherwise. With the name of God on his lips he lived a covert and extensive lifestyle of evil.”

In addition, Jessa recently used Instagram to quote the Bible, focusing on confession, just after seemingly turning her back on Josh, reported People.

“If though shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved,” quoted Jessa.

As to why Jessa as well as her husband, Ben, have decided to shun Josh, his sister Jessica Seewald explained.

“Sometimes it becomes necessary to stand up and speak the truth,” said Jessica.

But Jessa seems to be attracting even more negative publicity after sharing seemingly upbeat photos of herself working out during pregnancy, reported She Knows.

Sharing a photo in which she and Ben are lifting weights, Jessa happily wrote that she was enjoying gym time with her husband. Fans immediately responded.

“Careful mama. Nothing over 10lbs!” scolded one follower.

“Are you supposed to work out like that while pregnant..?” questioned another.

That negative response comes as allegations that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard took donations for missionary work and used them to go home instead have harmed the family’s public profile even more, pointed out Fashion & Style.

The brouhaha began when Jill and Derick requested donations for their mission work via the Dillard Family Ministries. The duo created that tax-exempt organization to pay for their trip, but since seeking funds on their Dillard Family site, they have visited the United States several times since leaving in early July.

Fans now are questioning how Jill and Derick have the money to fly back and forth, raising suspicious that it is the donated funds they’re exploiting for pleasure trips.

Those trips included Amy Duggar’s wedding in Arkansas in September and the Bringing Up Bates ceremony in August in Tennessee.

“So what exactly are you doing to help people in El Salvador? Your donors would like a detailed statement of what their money is being used for,” declared one Facebook post.

“Jill, how did you spend my donation for your mission trip?” demanded another post. “Where are the pictures of the hospital, schools and bible studies you helped with? Can you post them so I can show everyone why I donated to your cause?”
