‘NCIS’ Spoilers: Gibbs Fights For His Life As Season 13 Begins
Season 13 of NCIS premieres Tuesday night on CBS, and viewers are anxious to know what to expect. The last that fans saw in Season 12, Gibbs had been shot and was fighting for his life. What NCIS spoilers are available for the September 22 premiere?
Tuesday’s episode is titled “Stop the Bleeding,” and TV Guide details that this Season 13 premiere will pick up with Gibbs on the Navy hospital ship after the shooting. In addition, viewers will watch as Joanna and DiNozzo head to Shanghai in an effort to wrap things up on the Calling front.
Viewers didn’t necessarily expect to see Gibbs perish in the shooting, but everybody was left with a cliffhanger last spring regardless. Showrunner Gary Glasberg shared some NCIS spoilers with TVLine, indicating that Gibbs is indeed back and will recover, but he is changed by the shooting.
The first half of the Season 13 premiere will focus on Gibbs being in surgery on the aircraft carrier. Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer plays the role of the surgeon, and as Gibbs recovers, viewers will see some changes in him. NCIS spoilers tease that he’ll be a bit more open with his emotions, something that will be a big shift.
The show may be headed into Season 13, but that doesn’t mean it’s predictable and stale. NCIS spoilers indicate that the show will be shifting in this new season, seemingly in great part due to Gibbs’ evolution after his shooting.
DiNozzo will need to step up in this Season 13 premiere to lead the team as Gibbs recovers. The Calling storyline seemingly will be wrapped up in the premiere, but Tony will return to the team and be facing some tension with Gibbs.
TV Guide details some NCIS spoilers that viewers will see a different side of McGee this season, and Delilah will be back a bit down the road to make an impact, as well. Bishop is still in the mix of things, and there may be some romance ahead for Abby. In addition, viewers will see Vance back in action this season.
NCIS spoilers indicate that the early part of the season will be heavily focused on Gibbs’ recovery, and Season 13 will have a lot of what fans love best about the show. There seemingly will always be buzz among those fans who wish that Cote de Pablo would return to the role of Ziva, though that doesn’t appear to be in the cards.
Season 13 of NCIS begins on CBS on Tuesday, September 22, and fans will definitely not want to miss this one.
