WWE News: Chris Jericho Not Advertised For WWE TV Dates Until 2016?

For weeks, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose teased a third member of their team at Night of Champions against the Wyatt Family. At first, the WWE Universe thought it was going to be Randy Orton. That was the plan until Bray Wyatt and his henchmen took him down. Then, Jimmy Uso was the man to team with Reigns and Ambrose.

Reigns’ cousin was also attacked by the Wyatt Family. The WWE Raw before Night of Champions, both former Shield members promised Wyatt that a beast was coming. While Erick Rowan and Kane didn’t come out, Chris Jericho did to an uproar from the crowd. Jericho is always a favorite with the WWE fans, and it was also a surprise.

Near the end of the match, Jericho looked up at Roman Reigns, who was on a roll. He was going to hit Strowman with a Superman Punch. Before he was able to, Jericho tagged himself in and ended up getting submitted by Strowman. Y2J was confronted by Reigns and Ambrose after the match, only to shoulder Ambrose on his way out of the ring.

An Ambrose and Jericho feud is on the way, but the Ayatollah of Rock-n-Rolla didn’t show up on WWE Raw last night. When is he supposed to appear on WWE TV? According to Cageside Seats, the feud between Jericho and Ambrose is coming, but it won’t be starting soon.

“Though they’re definitely setting up a possible angle between Chris Jericho & Dean Ambrose, it likely won’t be addressed until 2016. PWInsider reports Y2J isn’t booked for any more televised dates this year (not counting the Madison Square Garden show) and Fozzy is touring in November & December. A WrestleMania program is a possibility.”

The only questionable act was the beginning of the feud at Night of Champions. If both men were to start their program at the Royal Rumble, then it would make sense. With all of the new storylines starting after Night of Champions, Ambrose and Jericho were set to add a lot of entertainment and intrigue to weekly programming.

When Y2J does make his comeback to WWE Raw, expect the promo battles between the two men to astonish the crowd. The last time two masters of the microphone were at odds was between Paul Heyman and CM Punk. WWE has a good problem right now and that’s having too much talent. There are wrestlers on the roster who deserve a spot like Ambrose, but all of the spots are filled. Perhaps this is Ambrose’s way to the top and another WWE star will take his place.
