Does Drake Diss Chris Brown On ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ Mixtape?

Drake and Future released their surprise mixtape What a Time to Be Alive. In one of the songs, it seems like Drake disses Chris Brown’s relationship with Karreuche Tran.

Drake and Future dropped a surprise mixtape, much to the delight of their fans. The two rappers collaborated on What a Time to Be Alive. On the track “Live from the Gutter,” Drake may have shaded Chris Brown and his on-again-off-again relationship with the model.

The Canadian rapper spits the lyric, “This is for my dogs who go Karrueche with the chopsticks.”

What do these lyrics mean? According to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, Drake is alleging that other rappers have dated Karreuche in the past. It’s also been rumored that Drake and Karrueche have dated. It all started when Chris Brown accused Drake of dating his ex-girlfriend in December of last year.

After Chris and Karrueche ended their relationship for good, the model was rumored to be dating Future’s DJ Esco. Karrueche shot down these rumors, but an insider told Hollywood Life that Chris thinks it’s rude for her to date guys who are in the same music circles.

“That’s not cool. That’s incredibly disrespectful to Chris, his image and his manhood. It makes him look like a sucker. There’s an unwritten rule that Karrueche knows and it’s that you don’t mess around with your ex’s friends or associates when you’re broken up.”

Karrueche told TMZ that she believes Chris is acting immature for not allowing her to date other musicians.

“I thought we have all matured and moved on. Especially since Chris has been seen with multiple women since the breakup.”

Ouch!

It also doesn’t help the fact that both Drake and Chris Brown dated Rihanna. Drake and RiRi dated in 2009, following her split from Brown. Drake and Brown tried to make amends, but it never worked out.

After Drake’s latest diss on his What a Time to Be Alive mixtape, Chris took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with his daughter, Royalty, and to include a lengthy caption. A previous report via Vibe believes that this is his response to Drake’s track.

“I’m too blessed for the bulls**t. People who have had to sit a watch me for years do me and watch their females actually love me always show their insecurities. I embrace anything God has given me. It’s bigger than this music s**t. I’m content with being Chris Brown. A lot of people are unhappy and a lot of these artist lie to the fans or rely on hype to gain substance. You n***as bore me. Ima keep being who God made me to be! #IAMMUSIC #othersbarelyholdanote #thosehandsworkgreat”

It’s not unusual for Drake to throw shots on his What a Time to Be Alive mixtape. After all, he released a series of diss tracks aimed at Nick Minaj’s boyfriend, Meek Mill, earlier this summer.
