Kourtney Kardashian has been slimming down since breaking up from Scott Disick, the father of her three children. But now some of those close to Kourtney are expressing concern that she’s shed too much weight, reported Radar Online.
Soon after having her third child, Reign, Kardashian had restored her pre-baby body. But has Kourtney gone too far in obsessing about weight loss?
“She’s stopped eating balanced meals and is driving herself into the ground with all her parenting and work responsibilities,” said one source.
Thus far, Kourtney is rocking a revenge body that’s at least 10 pounds slimmer. But when does working out and dieting shift from a healthy pursuit to an unhealthy obsession, ask her friends. And at least one insider pointed to how frail Kardashian appears.
“The pounds are falling off and she looks gaunt and stressed, with huge circles under her eyes because she isn’t sleeping either,” added the source.
But the insider added that until Scott goes into rehab, Kourtney will not take him back. And that’s making her so unhappy that she can’t eat.
“It’s tearing her up inside and food’s the last thing on her mind,” added the source.
In addition, Scott previously scolded Kourtney when she didn’t lose weight quickly following the birth of their daughter Penelope.
“Just do it faster — you’re my piece of machinery!” said Scott. “If I would have fell in love with you a couple of pounds overweight, this would be my ideal weight, but I fell in love with you when you were super skinny.”
Helping Kourtney in this stressful time are Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, reported Hollywood Life.
Corey recently came to Kourtney’s aid while she and the children were shopping. Little Mason, who is 5, and Penelope, 3, enjoyed hanging out with Kris as well as Corey on a shopping expedition.
One insider revealed that Kourtney has established an ultimatum. Scott must stop partying and maintain a sober lifestyle in order to be with the children. She hopes that this will be the motivation he needs to go to rehab.
And while that family time may have boosted Kardashian’s spirits, for Disick’s friends, however, it’s his future and health, not Kourtney’s, that’s the concern, reported People.
And an insider described Scott as drifting and confused about what to do with his life.
“He’s totally lost right now. He’s just going from place to place, doing things that aren’t making sense. He’s recording a video. No, he’s building his brand. He’s hanging out with brand new people. That’s sort of his issue in general, that he can’t focus.”
At 32, Disick has recently pursued everything from starring in French Montana’s video to partying hard again. At one point, he reportedly was dating Kimberly Stewart, but her mother said that rumor was not true.
And although some hope that 36-year-old Kourtney will take Scott back, at least one source doesn’t hold out hope.
“The thought was that he was going to try for a reconciliation, but now it seems like that’s not going to happen,” cautioned the insider. “He isn’t working on himself, which is one of the conditions he has to meet for Kourtney to take him back….Everyone is very worried about him.”
As for returning to rehab, that insider isn’t sure if Scott is maintaining sobriety or abusing alcohol again despite several stays in rehab in past years.
“He’s not talking about it. Scott has in the past been willing to talk about what he’s going through, seeking advice,” noted the insider. “He’s not seeking advice from anyone anymore, probably because he knows he’s not going to like the advice that we give him.”
