Ariana Grande is a Justin Bieber fan, it seems safe to say. The “Problem” singer has covered, “What Do You Mean,” by Bieber during the Houston stop of her Honeymoon Tour. What’s even better is that the Bieber approves.

Hours before she hit the stage, Ariana teased that she was about to do something special.

“Rehearsinggggg a lil sum to add to the show today,” Grande posted on Instagram, under audio of her song, “One Last Time,” mixed with Bieber’s hit, “What Do You Mean.”

When she got to the stage, she made sure to deliver on that promise.

She launched into “What Do You Mean” with the original Bieber track playing in the background. It was almost like a sing-a-long and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it.

Later, Bieber showed that he really liked it too. “@ArianaGrande saw the mashup. Loved it. Thanks,” he tweeted.

Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande have a history together. They are both managed by Scooter Braun and Justin surprised Ariana Grande fans at her concerts in both Miami and Los Angeles.

In early April, the young diva was joined by Bieber in Los Angeles and they performed her song, “Love Me Harder,” together. Bieber then performed his song, “Where Are You Now,” on his own. The two collaborated on stage again for a duet of Bieber’s 2012 song, “As Long As You Love Me.”

A couple of weeks before Ariana’s LA gig, Grande and Bieber shocked everyone in the audience when they came together on stage in Miami. They both performed ” Love Me Harder,” “All That Matters,” and “As Long As You Love Me.”

According to Billboard.com, Grande’s performance of “What Do You Mean?” seems to have been inspired by a mashup of Bieber’s Hot 100 hit with her track, “One Last Time.” The mashup went viral and was uploaded by YouTuber Jake Marra earlier this month.

“Really enjoying the instrumental for Justin Bieber’s latest single,” Marra wrote about the video on YouTube. “So I thought I’d make a quick mashup! Songs are in the same key and same tempo, too easy!”

Ariana, like Justin Bieber, is going through a round of positive press lately after the great Ariana Grande donut video debacle went viral.

She recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she trounced him in his game, The Wheel of Musical Impressions. The “Problem” singers did spot-on impressions of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion. The Ariana Grande-Jimmy Fallon video currently has over 13 million views on YouTube.

Ariana Grande and her Honeymoon tour continues. Her next stop is in Birmingham, Alabama at the Legacy Arena on September 20.
