A couple of years ago, South African rapper duo Die Antwoord had a public feud with singer Lady Gaga. Now the whole thing has blown up again when Gaga appeared at the New York Fashion Week with a ‘do looking remarkably similar to that of Yolandi Visser, the female half of the Die Antwoord pair. Ninja was not impressed.
If you’re not into South African rap, anyone who has seen the recent sci-fi film Chappie will have an idea who Ninja and Yolandi Visser actually are, but the following briefly outlines their relationship to Gaga in the past.
As reported by Channel 24, Lady Gaga was heading off on a tour of South Africa, and she asked Die Antwoord to open for her. Ninja and Yolandi declined the offer but decided to make fun of Gaga.
Die Antwoord produced a music video “Fatty Boom Boom” (included at the end of this article) poking fun at Gaga. They showed a Lady Gaga lookalike on a tour of the streets of Johannesburg, including scenes of wild animals roaming the streets.
In the video, her taxi is hijacked by criminals, and the Lady Gaga lookalike has to make a run for it. She ended up in a doctor’s surgery giving birth to a very large insect — what is known in Johannesburg circles as a “Parktown prawn.” It went on from there, and best to say it was not complimentary towards Gaga.

Immediately after the release of their music video, Gaga, upset at them calling her fat, hit back at them on Twitter.
Die Antwoord were not slow to respond, sending a reply in tweet form saying, “lady… even tho u r ‘larger’ than us… we still cooler than you… plus we don’t have prawn in our private parts.”

Anyhow, back to the present, and as Music Times reports, as soon as Ninja spotted Gaga sporting her new blonde, blunt cut hairdo, remarkably similar to that worn by Die Antwoord’s Yolandi Visser for many years, he decided to reignite the battle.
First, we must see an Instagram post of Yolandi herself for comparison purposes.
Now we see what Ninja posted to his personal Instagram account — an image of Gaga with said ‘do accompanied by the message “an this iz exactly why we diss this f**tard parasite biter b***h. #gagaNYfashionweek.”
You can see the amazing resemblance embodied by Lady Gaga in the image below.
The post has received over two thousand comments and almost 10,000 likes at the time of writing.
Reportedly, Lady Gaga herself has not yet responded, and it is unknown whether the new look is related to her now famous starring role in the upcoming TV series American Horror Story: Hotel.
Below is the video that fueled the initial feud. Warning to sensitive viewers: The video contains strong language and suggestive actions.
