Doritos Introduce Rainbow-Colored Chips To Support The LGBT Community
Doritos has debuted their rainbow-colored chips. It was only a matter of time — we’ve had a few different colored Doritos, but this is the first time we’ve seen LGBT-inspired Doritos.
In an effort to support and celebrate the LGBT community, Doritos has decided to unveil its rainbow-colored chips, which come in purple, green, red, and signature yellow. These rainbow chips won’t be around forever, as it’s said that they’re going to be a limited edition treat. The rainbow-colored chips are a nod to the pride flag.
This bold move is part of Doritos’ desire to participate in the non-profit foundation It Gets Better. According to its mission statement, It Gets Better aims “to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth around the word that it gets better, and to create and inspire the changes needed to make it better for them.”
The project started in September of 2010 in response to the rising suicides in the LGBT community.

In partnering with It Gets Better, Doritos’ tag-line is, “There’s nothing bolder than being yourself.”
Don’t think you’re going to be able to buy these anywhere either. In order to get your hands on an LGBT-themed snack bag, you have to buy the $10 bag by donating to the It Gets Better Project. After the donation, Doritos ships you out a bag. Here are some responses to the LGBT rainbow Doritos.

E! questioned whether or not the rainbow Doritos were edible. In the end, E! revealed that they taste just like the Cool Ranch bag.
What do you think about Doritos decided to color their product in rainbow colors for the LGBT community?
