As reported by Billboard, the Denzel Washington-produced film was added to the list of films that will be showcased during the 2015 Urbanworld Film Festival later this month. The news was also confirmed by the festival’s official website as well.

Tyrese Gibson took it one step further on Thursday by sharing the official premiere date and location via two Instagram videos. In the first video, he mentioned that the tickets were almost sold out.

“Alright, y’all hearing it from me. The world premiere of my short film starring myself, Jennifer Hudson, produced by Denzel Washington is almost sold out… “

In the second video, Tyrese shared the premiere date for the anticipated short film.

“Saturday, September 26, I’ma be in New York City for the world premiere of my short film, Shame starring myself, Jennifer Hudson [and] produced by Denzel Washington.”

In his Instagram bio, Tyrese shared a link to a website selling tickets to the event. He also shared the same link on his official Twitter page.

According to the website, the showing is scheduled for Saturday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m.. The location is the AMC Empire Theater.

The site confirms that, after the showing, there will be a Q&A with Tyrese Gibson at the venue. In his Instagram video, Tyrese referred to another potential opportunity he is considering in addition to that session.

“They just asked me to perform.”

In the video’s caption, Tyrese asks his fans: “Should I?”

Chances are that, if Tyrese does decide to perform, he will sing his hit single and theme from the short film Shame from his final solo studio album Black Rose.

Written by Tyrese Gibson, the Shame film focuses on Lionel Jacobs — a rising star and soul singer that married his background singer Bobbi Ann (played by Jennifer Hudson). Jacobs struggles to pursue his dreams of being a huge star along with his drug addiction, alcoholism, and the overall struggle to be there for his wife and kids.
